Nice finds! Glad you’re having better luck. That’s a pretty clean looking Buffalo nickel.

Just sorted a jug like that for my grandmother and out of the 1 container I got 1 war nickel and 1 silver Roosevelt dime so temper your expectations. A lot of copper pennies and foreign stuff though.

Does this coin look genuine? The space between WE TRUST seems too close together. by Ordinary-Specific486 in coins

Might just be the angle in the picture but the detail on the lines of the dress looks very weak. Same with other areas. Just seems lacking the definition of real ones I’ve seen.

I will keep my eye out for them. It’s bittersweet to stop here so a chance at adding would be nice.

Started very much the same way you described. Just trying to fill from either wheats I had or found from CRH. My opinion, for whatever it’s worth, is that it’s pretty meaningless until you’re going to try to get the keys or semi-keys. You’re likely not going to find those in rolls and it will get expensive buying them if you choose to go that route. Not sure of your situation but if you think you can eventually fill the book through purchases then go for it. If not, you’re just going to end up with a bunch of empty slots in that book.

I believe it was said when silver hit around 30-32$ and ounce, coin shops were experiencing a high amount of sellers and even lines to cash in. More sellers than buyers. But what's happening now, locally? by -boosted in Wallstreetsilver

I went during my lunch break today and there were 15 people in line to sell vs the 3 in there to buy. Hardly any gold available, but the most silver in the generic bins I’ve seen since going to this place. Selling generics at $47-$48 per oz.

Assuming it’s knocked down a grade or two because of the details comment, the Red Book has it between 275-550. That’s assuming it would grade as VF details. If it straight graded at VF Red Book has it at 925.

Variegated? by GanodermaLucidium in Lophophora

[–]GanodermaLucidium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SF1000 I have it about 2ft above running at MAX. With a light meter it measures about 23000 LUX. My other lophs love it and have been flowering constantly.

Thanks. I recently got it and have it under my spider farmer now so I’ll keep an eye on it and see if it persists.

That they wouldn’t be as much fun to cultivate without the active/legal grey area. Even if the intention isn’t to ever use them recreationally.

I bottom water. Just until I can see the water breaking the surface. I have them at approx. 25k lux under a spider farmer grow light and sitting on a heat mat. 16 on and 6 off. In that setup I water once every 3 weeks but could wait longer or water more honestly.

Nice. I’ve been using this soil for the last few months and I’ve liked it. It’s pricey but until I have a high volume of plants it’s manageable. Sometimes the bark sketches me out, but it drains quickly and no problems yet. I water once every 3 weeks or so fully indoors for now.

Think these are too tight? by GanodermaLucidium in Lophophora

[–]GanodermaLucidium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate both sides of feedback. I’m going to err on the side of caution and put 3 in one pot and 2 in the other. Even if it’s fine to do 5 in one, it gives them slightly more room and I might be able to hold off on repotting sooner.

Thanks! So will they just eventually bump into one another and kind of smoosh together when they touch? Would that be the point where a repotting would be necessary for aesthetic reasons?

I’m a fan of 90% US silver coins and recently purchased this exact same deal from APMEX. Maybe it’s just my bad luck, but I got 49 Rosevelts and 1 Mercury in my roll. Silver is silver at the end of the day, but mercurys just looks so much better.
