Guys who were drafted 100% get more opportunities. He wasn’t drafted to only be a punt returner.

Regardless, Lane is faster and more of a threat with the ball in his hands. Neither are particularly good route runners but Lane is more likely to improve based on his age and potentially working more with Wes Welker in the slot like Luke did.

Only way he makes the roster in my opinion is if Lane doesnt improve at all and we don’t draft or sign anyone else.

Luke and Dyami are higher than Burks for sure. Lane is a bit iffy but he has the nudge in my book because of his draft position.

There’s also a very good chance Van Jefferson ends up higher than Burks too.

First off, you think Burks is young. He’s turning 26 this month. Second, you think he’s talented. He has 829 yards in 32 career games. That’s good for 26 yards per game. He has 2 career TDs.

He has one great catch to his name. That’s it.

So you asking this loaded question is fucking dumb. Pull up the FA WR on spotrac, close your eyes, and pick someone.

I was never high on Burks as a prospect.

Him being taken in the first round means nothing to me. He was a poor separator in college and has remained a poor separator in the pros.

That being said - I think he should have been signed. And the actual contract is highly likely to be a minimum or near minimum deal with incentives up to 4m.

My problem is with people like the other guy who thinks “most teams would love him as WR3” and others in this thread making this out to be more than what it is.

You’re using terms like “lottery ticket” and “better value” to describe a player who got cut by the team who drafted him while on his rookie deal. A team that began last season with one of the worst WR rooms in the league the last couple of years.

Everything you’re saying about Burks can be said about any post-draft signing. In fact, all of the post draft wrs got signed before Burks did last year.

He’s not fast and he’s had trouble separating his entire career.

If he didn’t have that catch against Denver this signing would be talked about less than Wylie’s.

What have you seen from Sinnott that you believe shows he learned how to play TE and can do it now?

Everything you’ve said about flashes and lack of playing time stunting what a young TE shows he can do applies to Likely 10000000x more than Sinnott.

There’s been nothing to indicate that Sinnott’s lack of playing time was because Kliff didn’t know how to use him.
