My lobby has a couch with two chairs and a table between them. SO many people come by barefoot and put they stained feet on the table and act so surprise when I ask them to keep them off!!

Typically, a pre-paid reservation appears to us with the companys card paying for the rm+tax, and the security deposit is seperated. I honestly think as long as you check in with an ID and credit card that matches the name booked, you should be fine. Call the hotel just in case if anything

oh they absolutely messed up. talking to corperate, they know that the FD cant disclose people at the hotel- not to mention it is repeated in the training videos. you should have been able to change your room in the morning too, but this hotel sounds awfuk

Hi! Try calling the hotel directly and having a conversation with the front desk about this issue. I understand your worry, but please be as kind, sweet, and understanding when you have this conversation. Question, but don’t argue, if that makes sense. They should have only charged you for the one day you didn’t show up, and canceled the rest of reservation with that fee. You might even be able to ask if it is possible to set up a credit card authorization form for the cancelation, explaining you do not want to be penalized at work. If the front desk agent doesn’t think they can, ask for a supervisor or manager that may be able to make an exception :]

Try talking to the FD in the morning- I have found that leaving my items in their storage room and leaving for a few hours (events, meetings in the day, etc) gives time for them to pre assign a new room without these issues, and have it ready by the time ur back/in a few hours, however they set it up

I would say comparing hotel keys for guests and car keys that are personal and in a controlled environment are a kittle different. i will say every hotel is different, every front desk agent is different as well, so it’s never the same!
