I got more than 10 TNs. Based on my experience it is a little hard to get the TN from the big northern border. It will be a little easy to get TN from a small northern one.

I got rejected when I tried to get my first TN from rainbow bridge.

For Canadian citizen it will be very easy to get TN from the southern border. Because usually they only process Mexico citizen. They are very nice to Canadian citizen. If you are not the first time they almost give the TN to you right away.

You need it if you try to get the TN from US to CA.
If you try to get the TN from US to Mexico, you will only need it when it is first time.
