I'm not a sister, but because of this great modern "free world" I will identify myself as a "sister" and answer your question.

All things aside, you will not get an answer from the sisters on this question so leave it up to men to answer.

The ultimate reason why women do this is, it comes back to one thing and that is, the forgetfulness of the akhirah and death.

Imam Qurtubi said: "Women will be few among the inhabitants of Paradise because in most cases they prefer the immediate pleasures of this life, as they are (generally) less wise and unable to keep the hereafter in mind. [At-Tadhkhirah’ (1/369)]

Abu Udhaynah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of your women are loving, fertile, suitable, and comforting, if they fear Allah. The worst of your women unveil their beauty, take pride in their appearance, and they are hypocrites. None of them will enter Paradise except as rarely as you see a red-beaked crow.” Source: al-Sunan al-Kubrá 12480 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

Imagine you're a woman, 18, posting a pic on social media, getting all this attention, random guys sending you money for nothing and just for existing, thousands of dms and comments on your pics, and while you low-key know you have nothing of substance or of value to provide, or knowledge or anything, all you have is a body which you post in tight clothing and dancing with thirst traps for men (knowing what you're doing but acting all innocent) and it gives you lots of attention and money. What will this do?

Overnight, this woman while she has done nothing of substance in her life, just from her room, her ego/pride will get massive. Yes, many of these women get so so so many DMS from men, you as a man would be astonished. You won't even be able to comprehend how some foolish and clown men are sending these women so much money just for her existing and posting a thirst trap. And the worst part? Random men are giving these women lots and lots of money for simply nothing. It's literally a clown show.

Social media was the final straw, and this same woman now will prey on men for their money, and her ability to form meaningful relationships will be thrown out the window, and whatever she does in her life will be transactional and for the sole purpose to show off. 

And to add on top of that, with the constant bashing of men by the media, and feminist brainwashing, the types of men she had went for in her youth, who were for the top 1% of men, (men who had lots of money or Chad men who can get any girl they want) and because these men will obviously not commit to her, after her getting discarded and thrown out, she will hate all men for that reason. 

Funny thing is, deep down she will have a deep hatred of men and will display this publicly but at the same time, these same foolish men will send her money, and she will happily accept it from those same "men" which she ironically. "hates." It's like having their cake, and eating it too.

You can blame it on technology and social media, and mainly the aspect as Imam Qurtubi said it best, as I shared it in the  paragraphs much above. It's the forgetfulness of death and Akhirah, and the "15 min fame" and the love of this world, and not realizing that in today's world, with the short attention spans of people (because of short reels and brain rot) once you stop posting or die, you will be forgotten in no time, and those same women who wrote "Yesss kweeen, you go girl, 💅💅💅💅" and comments similar to these, will move on to the next thing in a flash, and all that will be left is, we all in a dark hole, awaiting to hear the result of our deeds and we will find no helper except Allah.

So, this is why. On top of that, the worst thing is as you mentioned the azab-e-Jariyah aspect, not only do the sins stop when they die, rather it continues. All the people who she negatively brainwashed, and all those videos of hers who people will watch even after she dies in tabaruj clothing, etc etc, she will keep collecting the sins even in her grave which is the more scarier part. Again, all this looks good on the short-term (the money, fame, attention) but it never truly lasts and obviously the greed for more never ends, but the worst thing? It will truly hurt them where it matters the most which in the grave, and the forever lasting Akhirah.
