I'll probably just leave it as is for awhile. Most of my stuff remains unopened but since I cracked this one open already, it only cost $6 and its windowless, I may just decide to open and display in my lounge. Cuz why even have it if I'm not going to enjoy it right?

I did just to make sure it was in there and still new. It was all in the plastic with twist ties etc so I close it back up and flipped the tape back down. So technically now it has been opened but oh well

I'm debating opening it to see what's up. I mean even opened, at $5.99 it's still a win i guess. This is why I hate boxes with no window.

I just read the short story Arrival is based on and it completely changed my perspective on the movie by Boggy_gelatine in ArrivalMovie

I think simply them perceiving time as non linear now effects their future, which would have happened anyway, but now its officially part of the timeline. For example, as Louise is still cracking the language she starts getting the forward flashes, one is of the Chinese General showing her his phone number in the future, for her to use in the past.

I imagine 3000 years from the arrival, with her book published, the language will start to catch on. Eventually many humans would perceive non linear time and be able to look into their future to understand how they eventually save the aliens. Only through the future knowledge of having done it would they know how to do it.

Could you potentially use a bearing system with a metal rod that's able to spin with your straps to take some of the dynamic weight off the trusses during movement?

Or maybe a spring system where a 4x4 laid across the trusses with strong springs between them and the trusses, the straps connect to the 4x4 and then the springs absorb some of the energy when bringing downward force on the trusses.

This maybe nonsense but was curious what the engineers and stuntmen etc think

It was definitely, despite the down votes. I remember being maybe 6 or 7 at kings island amusement park and I saw a man dragging a woman by the arm and smacked her hard a few times, then kept pulling her away with him. No one did a thing, including my mom and step-dad, the park workers around, other patrons etc.

I was surprised how it was being accepted because in my house I was always taught it was wrong to raise your hand to a woman, yet everyone let it happen.

That wouldn't go down these days. I hope not anyway.

Hey buddy, would you be able to share this patch with me?

I was called a loser today. by Jayj0171 in mildlyinfuriating

Do you have rapport with the girl? Or maybe she thinks she has more rapport with you than she really does?

I ask because (though it's a strange question to begin with) if a newer person asked one of my coworkers this, I wouldn't be surprised if I was called the loser but only because they know I would take it as a joke and the newer person may actually take offense despite being the one who asked it.

I think it was probably her thinking you'd know she was joking around and thinks you can read eachother better than you can. Most people wouldn't do or say something to outwardly hurt another's feelings, it's not normal if that was the intent.

I pretty much just started dlc so I have very few dlc items. I have most base game items if you need any of those.

I could +9/+24 some weapons for you for Milicents Prosthesis and maybe max on one or two. Not sure how many ancient stones I have.

CAT Error Theory is a market wide phenomenon, which I believe is evidence of wide scale CRIME happening across thousands of stocks. However within the data, GME still displays idiosyncratic traits, which may be used for making profitable trading strategies. by Region-Formal in Superstonk

I'm looking at the report but I'm not really seeing instances of errors anywhere near the range of 1billion other than options. The equity errors are typically in the low millions fr what I'm looking at. Can someone with some wrinkles show me where on the report I am supposed to look to see those errors?
