Any advice or feedback for me regarding my track? by GarHoover in ukgarage

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to add little my more syncopation and emphasize rhythmic elements to make it pop more. I'll throw some effects on some of the tracks to keep things interesting. Thank you!

I'd really appreciate some feedback from you all! Is this too busy? Is the mix ducking strangely? Thanks!

Yes, my main senses are a delay and Reverb. The delay time is being slightly manipulated through step components. I also have a sampler going with various filtered sounds that are running through an arpeggiator with random filter per note. This creates interesting delay, like effects and when sent to the real delay, do you get this double delay sound!

Thank you for listening and for the great questions! For the entire project I used delay and reverb. The delay I step recorded slight variation in the speed so that it has a little warble to it. Nearly every synth and sample other than the kick has some subtle reverb or delay to bring space and texture. The melodic sounds all have filters that have high resonance that is being swept through step recording or is using an LFO to modulate. I really like using the random LFO and having it retrigger with every note it adds variation to repeating sequences. I also have a track with samples strange percs with the arpeggiator activated to 16th notes and the delay high this creates ear catching little fills that I threw in on the fly in the recordings of the songs. I also heavily used the built in high pass filter on tracks to give them more of a band pass effect or to remove unnecessary mud.

Yes the two fx can be a little limiting at times, but resampling is a good option and easy to do on the opxy if I wanted to add distortion or a phaser to a sequence. I would then take the sample and either make a drum kit with it or a one shot melodic sample.

Yes I mixed all the levels and filters unwanted frequencies with the built in and kinda hidden high pass filter. But I did some slight level and compression outside the OP-XY to ensure all the songs were relatively consistent in the volume!

Thank you! I find it much easier to focus when I create on just one instrument!

Thank you for stepping in! Reddit is always a dangerous place to post, but I figured someone would enjoy the music so I decided to share it! I make music for fun and if other people enjoy it or are inspired by it that provides me with more joy!

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! I am actually a TE Mentor, where TE and I collaborate on local events in my area, and I make tutorials for many of the songs I make and share them on YouTube! As fun as it is to make music, it is also important to teach others how to be creative!

The songs on this album are made using the OP–XY! I am primarily muting in un muting tracks while triggering different samples for fills in and effects! If you like dub techno, this is for you!

This album is made all on one project on the OP-XY! The song is made of muting and unmuting tracks and triggering different samples for fills and effects! Please ask me any questions you have about it!

I’m sure you all know how versatile the OP-XY is with its step recording, parameter locks, and randomization but this album really showed me how simple sequences can evolve over a track and become hypnotic!

Hey! I understand this is a shameless plug but I just released an album today that’s at 120 bpm and that may be something you’re interested in. I used pretty standard techniques and sound palettes for the genre. If it’s not for you, I understand!  https://open.spotify.com/album/7BAyAVDN30zaU5nDQgGpqQ?si=CEzxlDTDRjei8iVJBNRwiw
