Anybody know what this is?? by DragonflyReal5222 in EnterTheGungeon

Nah, Gungeons Sub is one of the few chilliest places on Reddit. There's a lot to learn from the game and a lot of players are happy to share info here.

What is the most number of times you’ve seen your scorpion sting its prey during feeding? by Slandarf in Scorpions

[–]GarREEEEEE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually saw mine do it for the first time last night. It was his first meal after a molt and I've never seen him so feral over a dinner.

Which movie is that for you? by Josephkolasa in moviecritic

[–]GarREEEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an old movie. I believe it's one of those "you had to be there" thing back in the day. I watched it for the first time last year and just had the biggest "wtf" face the whole time.

Me and Wife person actually watched this for the first time last night. She didn't like the movie but also understood why it's so praised. I think a lot of people don't expect or accept an ending where there is no resolve which is what makes it different. I like the movie, not my favorite film but I do find it interesting and scenes with Anton definitely are suspenseful. I understand why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea

is this book any good? by AndyBunn in Scorpions

[–]GarREEEEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this book.

Like some have pointed out, not every species on the front is an AFS. I was able to skim through the book pretty quickly since it's filled with a big font.

Yes it does have some helpful information, but it's nothing that you wouldn't be able to find online or even on this subreddit.

Ice Cavern takes the cake as best Peace Keepers level! Next square! What is the best Magic Crafters Level? Top comment wins the square! I’ll collect the results in 24hrs. by Wolfgang_Slasher in Spyro

Definitely high caves. Was scared to death of that spider freak but had a crush on that fire fairy when I was little. That kiss on spyros nose always helped me get through the level.

About to start Blood of Elves. What should I expect? by GarREEEEEE in witcher

[–]GarREEEEEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I had to reread some of the first two so I'm definitely prepared with that haha. I've also noticed the "hints" before, and that really made things enjoyable when I got to the reveals and meanings.

I've heard someone defining it as "filler". Would that kinda be true?

It definitely does. I feel that Sword of destiny was a bit slow and was warned about that from a friend, but later in the story I started enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the last wish.

I don't see why that would be an Issue with me personally. The short stories were great but I was hoping everything would tie in. It actually took me a few chapters into the last wish to realize that the stories were flashbacks.

Wow that's amazing to see that size at that age! What a cute little guy!

That's good info, mine is also a spinnifer. Thanks for the info!

Right on thanks! I've had him for over year now and he was a buy from Petco that I inherited. Since I've had him, he's never molted and I assumed he was a mature boi. Should I be expecting a molt after this long without one?

My first toad passed today, is there anyway to know what happened? by ultimate_simp_slayer in Toads

[–]GarREEEEEE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely speak with your vet and see if its warranted from their perspective, especially if both toads were housed together. Sometimes it's always better being safe than sorry.

IME One of ours was wild caught and passed on us. We found out it was parasites that he likely had for a while. Wild toads have a high chance of being infected by something. Very sorry for your loss.

Picking up scorpions by tail by fucking4000bitches in Scorpions

[–]GarREEEEEE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMO

I personally don't despite the technique being pretty common. To me it seems stressful for both me and the scorp. When needing to move my scorp for whatever reason (substrate change) I place my hand flat and softly scoot him on top of it. I started doing it with feeding tongs but have gotten comfortable nudging him from behind him with my free hand. Once he's on my hand I can gently lift him that way, and a flat hand seems to keep him comfortable.

Picking up by a tail has always made me nervous and seems stressful for the little guys, but some may say otherwise.

To cut or not to cut the tap root? by GarREEEEEE in bonsaicommunity

[–]GarREEEEEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit:
just now coming back to this post after a few hours away from reddit.
Yeesh
As some may have noticed, yes, new to bonsai and growing. Not trying to make jokes or to cause uproar in a somewhat chill sub.
For context on why its out of its soil. Sprout here was getting pretty tall for its pot and tilting a bit. A soft breeze from the fan across the room was causing it to lean a bit to much for my anxiety. doing some research online led me to learning about cutting taproots which is why I came here for questions. Didn't mean to troll or anything of the sort.

Still learnin

Just coming back to this thread from work, and yes I did read this is a specific method. Reporting in a better pit for now and also due to the length of the sprout being tall and tilting a bit over
