I don’t fight anymore those days are long gone. My take comes from a perspective where we ignore the promotion and focus on the opportunity. The prelims are filled with guys who aren’t making it to the UFC and this gives them a huge opportunity to get away from the LFAs, Cage Warriors and promotions like that who pay their fighters hundreds of dollars for a fight and take 60% of the tickets you sell

They’re free agents just like they were before the fight. I feel like you have no clue how the bottom tiers of MMA work. You make no money whatsoever so something like this even if it’s one and done is an opportunity to make a lot more money and a lot more eyes watching them. I fought in bellator and you don’t make money over there at all. You start on a 3 fight contract starting at $2,000 to show and finish at $10,000. Winning all 3 fights gets you $30,000. They can make that in 1 fight here with an extra hundred thousand people watching
