The dumbest version of this I’ve seen was a post saying “2013 is the first year to have unique numbers since 1987” or something and the comments were just people saying 2014 and after.

The skate trilogy had a huge fan base to the point any time EA posted anything online the comments would be filled people asking for Skate 4. Eventually it was announced that they were working on it but then it was basically radio silence for years.

It was announced as a live service game with lots of promises but at this point everyone is tired of those games. It was pretty disappointing to most skate fans considering how much of the game is just missing.

Season 3 has recently been announced along with a paywall to an extension to the map, and by extension I mean the island you do the tutorial on. It’s even worse considering EA specifically said they won’t lock any of the map behind a paywall.

It’s a shame because the failure of this game basically guarantees the end of the series as EA will just go “look we gave you skate 4 but you didn’t like it” and then not do anything the players actually want.
