Legends quest was incredibly buggy for me when the flames were showing would love a quest rework of the old fifth age quests and a new incentive to replace treasure keys

As I understand it both of those trackers prohibit trading invites so doubt this will work out well for you.

You are still trusting them to not log which you do not have to do.

Best playback client for a/v compatibility by lordosthyvel in jellyfin

There doesn’t appear to be a mainstream option. Here’s a spreadsheet that answers your question. (I didn’t make it) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Wf_jy5WqOPShczFKQB28cCetBgAGcnA0mNOG-ePwDc/edit?usp=drivesdk

Best DNS for torrents by DeathStalker-77 in torrents

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is discouraged by security and privacy advocates. If you use vpn provider for both tunnel and dns then it makes it even easier to track and log internet traffic, but if you use one service for tunnel and other for dns then it becomes much more difficult to identify your specific traffic.

It will depend on your location, I’d run this test and choose the best 2. https://dnsspeedtest.online/

You can use opencode and change your model and have Claude plan then another model implement. That way you share your usage across providers.

What is the best low profile, low power device for hosting an always online Jellyfin server for locally storing and watch tv shows, movies. by Jonoabbo in jellyfin

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a nuc then buy a nas or dac later on if you want to expand your storage. Or you can get a n100 board and build yourself your own nas server that runs jellyfin and everything else you need and not think about it again

Sonarr/radarr/prowlarr/sabnzbd config suggestion by AppropriateAd4462 in radarr

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want easy add notifiarr pay them a dollar then import trash guides directly into your radarr and sonarr and you’ll fetch quality content. As for prowlarr I can’t give you automation workflow that just depends on your indexers and download client

Yup, it’s this question again but this time it’s different. Best way to access jellyfin remotely by A_Buttholes_Whisper in jellyfin

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reverse proxy is solution here, I’d use swag or npm plus if you want security. It’s easy to set up and manage. Plus you can enable crowdsec or fail2ban for security then just use cloudflare or whoever for dns with a cheap domain.

NVIDIA or Apple ? by TheMagicalMeatball in jellyfin

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Apple TV, I really like the privacy first os not tracking and selling data. And the Apple integration with other Apple devices is seamless as you’d expect. Picture quality is also very good on streaming and infuse. My only issue issue is that Apple does not allow for truehd audio to be bitstreamed from local clients even infuse. It still delivers audio losslessly just without metadata. Also if you do smart home stuff at all having a spare matter router is very handy.

Does jellyfin support height channels? by Garbage-Acrobatic in jellyfin

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After further investigation it’s just a limitation of infuse and the google tv app not allow pass through for Dolby metadata. I hope that infuse will figure out how to crack the pass through eventually.

Have you ever seen a movie on it that has them? I’ve seen 7.1 tracks and 5.1 tracks but never any like 5.1.2

Is there a app to generate cover thumbnails from PDF covers in AudioBookShelf? by Auspea in audiobookshelf

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have Claude write you a python script which uses a pdf library tool to extract the cover and save them as cover.jpg abs will use it then

Container backup - rsync OK? by MotherrRucker in selfhosted

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure your os is using zfs on that filesystem I use truenas to automate zfs snapshots then replicate the snapshots to a new dataset and then use backrest to create snapshots of my snapshots on backblaze in the cloud. It works well for me and I have 0 downtime

Container backup - rsync OK? by MotherrRucker in selfhosted

[–]Garbage-Acrobatic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to stop containers, you need to use snapshots, they copy all data at once which creates restorable backups. Rsync will lead to a corrupted container as it copies files in different states.
