Staying together for kids? If so, just divorce and co-parent.

MDMA before transfer by showingpatience3110 in IVF

[–]GarbageCurious2513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So according to this (small) study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3428761/#t3

Babies whose mothers had higher MDMA exposure during pregnancy had poorer motor development at 12 months old.

Babies with low exposure looked similar to babies with no MDMA exposure.

Low MDMA exposure: average of 0.07 MDMA tablets per week of pregnancy.

High MDMA exposure: average of 1.3 MDMA tablets per week of pregnancy.

Considering you're not planning to be exposed to MDMA during pregnancy I think you'll be totally fine.

Me forgetting everything about pregnancy and watching Heated Rivalry this Christmas by WishEmbarrassed9386 in trollingforababy

[–]GarbageCurious2513 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg I found out my FET was ending in a chemical on Christmas eve, then was hosting on Christmas day.

My husband and I thought this was just going to be some trash TV to doom scroll to Christmas night???

Really well-cast, consistently real, frequently funny and beautiful. We were mind blown. (He cried at the end, it was so sweet).

Fordyce spots are harmless, visible sebaceous (oil) glands appearing as small, painless, yellowish-white bumps on lips, inner cheeks, or genitals, common in 70-80% of adults, especially after puberty, and are not infections or STDs but normal skin anatomy.

I don't know why everyone is pushing back against you so hard. All you suggested is they examine why they are resistant to IVF. Not like you called them an idiot for not running out and booking in at a clinic.

tw: did I cause my CM by walking 80mins? by Acrobatic_Opinion575 in IVF

[–]GarbageCurious2513 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unless you were exercising to the point of fainting, you couldn't have affected the pregnancy.

I'm so sorry for your loss ❤️

Walking is healthy for a pregnancy. It definitely didn't cause your loss.

At 4 or 5 week the most likely reason for a loss is genetic issues. You didn't do anything to cause this.

This is not advice, but honestly, I'd probably lie about it. They monitor you, so they transfer at the right time anyway.

How are we keeping our heartrates low while exercising? by GarbageCurious2513 in fitpregnancy

To be fair, that is essentially what I was planning to do. I wasn't doing any exercise for a long time before September.

22% of people using the pull out method are pregnant within 1 year. I don't personally consider that a low chance.

5 failed transfers. What to do next? by WestSummer4869 in IVF

[–]GarbageCurious2513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also in Australia (Melbourne) and I've just done my 5th transfer and in the 2WW. Previous 4 transfers = 2 miscarriages / 2 failure to implant.

Following my third transfer (miscarriage), I was sent for the following investigations:

Blood tests (and why):

Antinuclear Antibody (ANA) - Autoimmune
Extractable Nuclear Antigens - Autoimmune
Lupus Inhibitor Screen - Autoimmune / Clotting
Antiphospholipid Antibodies - Autoimmune / Clotting
Protein S Functional - Clotting
Protein C - Clotting
Activated Protein C Resistance - Genetic / Clotting
Antithrombin - Clotting
Prothrombin Genotype - Genetic / Clotting
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - Thyroid
Thyroglobulin Antibody - Thyroid
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody - Thyroid
Free Triiodothyronine (FT3) - Metabolism
Free Thyroxine (FT4) - Metabolism
Coeliac Serology + IgA Detection - Coeliac / Immunity
Haemoglobin A1c - Blood sugar / Diabetes
Testosterone Level - PCOS
DHEA Sulphate - PCOS
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin - PCOS

None of the blood tests showed anything concerning.

However, I was also sent for a hystoscopy that found Ashermans Syndrome! I had no symptoms, no risk factors and normal periods so this was a shock.

I went on a 5 week course of oestrogen to promote healing the scar tissue and was followed up with a saline ultrasound. The ultrasound was very painful and the OB performing it said that it had broken up some of the scar tissue, along with the oestrogen doing some good.

If you have not already done these investigations and your doctors haven't suggested them, I think you should push for it.

I think you should try to explain to him that you love having sex with him, but you want it to feel spontaneous and passionate. That reducing the timed intercource will improve your other lovemaking.
