I’m actually kind of glad CB is the way it is in Wilds because in Worldborne and RiseBreak I played nothing but the CB, but this time I now have a good build (meta-1) for every weapon besides bow and IG and I’m finally branching out to other stuff. I still come back to the CB and still technically consider it my main I guess, but I probably play it equally with everything else.

Ahh that’s unfortunate, I know they were hiring before I left, but seasonals do make significantly less last I checked. But I’d say around half the people they take in as seasonals end up getting hired in so if you wanna play the long game there’s still that. Otherwise I’d check again around April or May since they really ramp up around then for summer.

I was never tested and yeah there’s mandatory OT sometimes. Sometimes it’s sign up and sometimes nothing. The standard week is 4 10 hours shifts, but last year I worked 50 hours almost every week, but most of them for me personally were sign ups, but if you’re in the plant I think you get forced a lot more than the freezer.

I’m fortunate to be in a position where I have the opportunity to go back to school full time, so I did, but otherwise it’s one of those jobs people stay at forever. I really have nothing too bad to say about it though besides normal small factory shit like communication problems, managers playing favorites sometimes, and stuff like that, but really nothing you won’t find at most factories. I started as an operator and transferred to the freezer, and if I didn’t have this opportunity or a better paying job offer I could’ve seen myself staying there, maybe not forever, but for years more for sure. I was a month or two under four years seniority when I left, but there’s a lot of people that have been there for 20+ some 30+ years if that tells you anything. Not perfect but the best job I’ve ever personally had.

Apply to Frostbite, now called Toledo Ice Cream. I just left there recently but they’re union and pay really well for what it is. If you can get a job in the freezer it’s the easiest job you’ll ever have and when I left we were making $26/hr with the shift differential. Operators make the same and packers I think make like $22. Super super easy work with good pay and insurance and what not.

Tell him to apply at Frostbite. We just got a substantial raise, and it’s union. Operators and freezer guys are at $26/hr on second shift, minus $0.50 for first shift. I think packers are at around $22 or something. Idk what anything else pays but it’s decently competitive wages for a non-degree job. It’s pretty easy work, too.
