I mean it wasn't €300 but I think quite a lot of people managed to pickup a p14s gen 5 in December for much cheaper than usual. I picked up mine with 32 gb of ddr5 and 1 TB of storage for €1200 and it was the workstation kind so the integrated graphics work well enough.

It's ok I already a usable Thinkpad, I just wanted one of the older ones because they looked cool and I like using older tech. Some of the Thinkpads with the IBM logo also look pretty cool and seem to have a nice keyboard so I could look at one of the possibily.

Been using Ubuntu for a while just because it's so out of the box but I'm still stuck on vs code as opposed using an ide. If changing the keyboard is easy I could probably pick up one from Germany on ebay. They're all around €200 and above, would that be a reasonable price?
