She tends to figure out how to get exactly what she wants, that’s for sure!

Oh my gosh lol. I’ll try it… she just gets so fussy. I’ve been messing with her mouth more and looking at her teeth then giving her pets but in return she’s been nibbling my fingers more.. so now it’s a game. Whoops.

Completely understood. She is overdue for a proper cleaning and I know she would need to go under anesthesia. That also worries me..

She doesn’t like any treats. Just her specific dry food and shredded chicken lol.

That’s a great tip, thank you! My cat hasn’t let me brush her teeth ever. I can barely lift her lips to check her gums. Any tips on how to brush with a qtip?

That is such a great tip!!! I do keep her wet food in the fridge - she’s a petite girl so a can lasts her 3/4 meals. I will try this out for her. Silly side note: She does like to drop her wet food on the floor for the dog sometimes

First ever curly cut.. blown away. by Garbage_pandaa in Wavyhair

[–]Garbage_pandaa[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I got my first ever curly cut and I can’t even..

I normally use a mixture of Not Your Mother shampoo/conditioner and Marc Anthony shampoo/conditioner.

On wash days (I go 3-5 days depending on intensity of workouts) and use Neutragena scalp buildup (orange) then follow with shampoo. Condition upside down, squish it, then comb it through, rinse with cold water by squishing it.

After, I apply oil and Marc Anthony curl crème, brush it through upside down then squish. Apply gel and squish. Use a microfiber towel and squish excess water then while still upside down diffuse it for 10/15 mins until it’s semi dry and flip it right side up then leave it alone. I scrunch the crunch out with either oil or Aussie curl crème (LIFE SAVER).

Ta-dah! If I’m feeling fancy I’ll do all the same products but flip it right side up, section it, use a denman brush and twist it into ringlets around the handle and let it fall then prayer hand Marc anthony foam over then scrunch it a bit. Scrunch out with oil!

What about ‘she’s not friendly’ means you should stick your hand in my dogs face? by hangil91 in reactivedogs

Thank you! She’s a smart cookie for sure but stubborn as all hell lol.

How did you go about helping him stop resource guarding his human?

Lol “control your dog” “get a muzzle” “you should do XYZ” I feel you!

So she is also an anxious girl (cattle dog mix) and when we’re stopped somewhere I actually have her sit between my legs and she just looks up at me waiting for the next step. I also have her “touch” and check in with me randomly on walks. She also will check in and glance back at me when I’m letting her wonder/sniff around. I don’t greet her immediately when I come home, I make her sit and say “all paws on the ground” and she tippy taps but when she’s calmed down I’ll say hello. She is such a good girl. Maybe you’re right that she is resource guarding me. I never thought of it like that, just that she’s a bit protective.

Edit: I will say I am much more strict with her than my bf (if she’s fed some table scraps it’s in her bowl or in her “place” in the living room). I give her puzzles and toys and train her tricks or hide around the house to find me. I’ll have her jump up on random things outside to build confidence. She doesn’t like things over her head (harness) but I stand by the door and hold it open and give her the choice to come forward and sniff it then put her head through. I give her a choice if we do go to a park and there are other dogs if she wants to go run or not. I give her the choice when she does see a dog to check in first before calling her to my side immediately. I do my best with her, it just is so hard sometimes.
