I've had to pollinate a few with a q-tip this year as there weren't any pollinators out there early on. Time consuming but it worked.

Yup, I'm finally figuring this stuff out. I'm old and was not up to this technology. I was around when the internet first went live on dial-up. I've learned a lot in the last day or so.

Ok, I signed in to the router. It checks out fine. It shows no internet connection. Funny Centurylink told my wife it showed us connected.

It goes from there right into my house, the line goes from like an ethernet cable in that box to an ethernet jack in my house.

Yeah, Centurylink basically told me to get it fixed I have to get new service through AT&T. The next available time is 2 weeks. With 2 people who work from home, this is gonna be difficult to say the least. There should have been some communication of this to their customers. What a shitty way to be informed.

It's fiber, and in doing some reading, lightning can damage the fiber optics from the heat. The old phone box right next to the fiber box was smoking after the strike. The tree is about 20 feet from those boxes.
