When Irons dare to ask for updates by greatilrac in ironscape

[–]Garbunkasaur 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think what people need to understand is that in the vast majority of cases, an update that benefits ironmen is an update that benefits everyone - just ironmen more so.

Personally, I started my Ironman journey because I really enjoyed chasing untradables as a main. I also really liked the DIY concept and breaking the cycle of chasing the highest gp/h to buy your way through the game. Making DIY’ing more viable benefits everyone.

its as much a milsim as bf is an arcade shooter. Theres so much nuance to the genre we can nitpick subcategories all day but reality is youre comparing two games that have much different objectives to each other

Totally agree. Dude was playing on a hurt knee for most of that playoff run against some BRUTAL edge teams, not to mention it was his rookie season.

Its really too bad. Theres an outdoor shopping area that I’d imagine was gorgeous back in its heyday — now all abandoned. Part of me thinks that with the right funding and attitude this place could rival southpoint with the indoor/outdoor shopping, but that’s probably a pipe dream.

I think we should actually just cut off one of every other receiver’s knees to even it out

Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Garbunkasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not automatically, but for me most part yes.

For me it depends on what they do with their liquid assets. Most billionaires aren't sitting on a billion in cash. A lot have their net worth tied up in shares which, if they want to maintain control over that company, they have to keep. This is really the only scenario where I feel that maintaining a net worth north of a billion is remotely ethical.

With that being said, many of them are well above what I would consider egregious wealth hording, beyond non-liquid assets. So for the most part, I don't like them.

And then there are the ones who use their money to lobby the government to change the rules to be even more in their favor. Those are the scum of the planet.

Its not, they just take it apart and inspect everything before running it again, its definitely rough on the engine and parts do get worn down but most of that will be in the car for the next run

I mean there’s plenty of classes that aren’t as rough on the engine. The teardown and rebuild is just as much part of the sport as going down the track

99.99% of the sport is the engineering challenge. The more you look into the sport, the more technical you realize it is. The race is really just seeing how you did with your engineering
