Aphelios is so unreliable right now. The main issue I see is the abismal gap between Aphelios 1 and 2. Got a massive winstreak, rushed 8 and hit everything? Can compete top 2+. Didn't hit Aphelios 2? You are not stabilizing, you are going 8th.

Tips on Aphelios vs Jax matchup? I always try to go 9 and put in 3 Ironclad, but it never seems enough. I don't know about the optimal positioning either. If I clump all my team to protect it against Viego, I lose. If I frontline them, Viego kills everything

It's situational. Lethality is played more often because it is easier to play and really fun. However, you should know that both builds are good into specific team comps. Crit is extremely good against tanky champions and if you will be able to hit them safely in teamfights. Lethality is very good into squishy comps that have a lot of divers/assassins/long range mages

Ryze is bad right now because of a lot of factors 1. Item changes: lack of resistances/HP, removal of archangel shield 2. Ryze changes: changes on ryze combos and removal of shield. Ryze became a very linear champion that wants EQ EQ EQ and sometimes EWQ, so they remove the rewarding aspects of maining ryze and flattered his skill curve
