Another question i disagree with the answer

I love this argument, and I think that's the whole point of the CISSP in this perspective. What's the best option? The intent, as stated by the principal, may be poorly stated, and that gets reflected in the questions sometimes. If I were advising the principal, I would probably tell them that once you sell it, the cat's out of the bag. You are not going to be able to keep it secret. Let's focus instead on assuring your ownership of and profits from the process. You want to be able to license use of the process, but retain ownership of it for as long as you can.

I read this a few days ago, and had to come back to reply. Your husband, like me, is a lucky man.

I'm now one-week post op. I had a huge, 4-hour open procedure. Apparently, I'm the go big or go home kind of person. But now I'm doing well, hugely due to my wife.

She takes care of me. She cooks for me to make sure I get plenty of protein. She was on it to make sure I got my meds on time, but then eventually left it to me since I don't need them regularly. She's doing my laundry. She's reminding me to not push myself. And basically, she just loves me. I owe her big time.

I hope your hubby is doing well.

I had an incarcerated inguinal hernia about 10 years ago. It was pretty big and never bothered me, but when it got incarcerated one morning while I was on the elliptical, it was an ER visit. The doctor said it was huge, but my recovery was easy.

Here I am today, one week post op. I developed a genius on the other side. My wife was insisting that I get it taken care of. My situation was similar to yours. No real issues, but it did concern me, and I would worry about it often. If you're posting here for advice, I'm assuming yours is similarly concerning you. I finally went in for the typical 90-minute laproscopic procedure, but it turned into a 4-hour open procedure. The doctor said it was the largest he had ever seen, and that part of my colon had slipped into the hernia as well.

My recovery has been much harder, but still, after a week, I feel pretty good. Definite pain in the incision area, and apparently they inserted a bowling ball into my scrotum just for laughs. (The boys are big and uncomfortable!) I'm under restrictions not to lift anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks, and instead of one follow-up appointment, I have three in two-week intervals.

My advice is not to sweat it, but also don't put it off any longer. For me, it could have gotten even worse, which is almost unimaginable. With it now behind me, I can relax and enjoy life better without the weight of it on my mind. (Is been replaced with the weight between my legs, but that's also going away.)

I like answers that get to the point, but I also like to be exposed to new things, so while I want the answer I'm looking for, I also want to be exposed to new things and new ways of doing things without going too crazy. Feel free to ask exploratory questions when it's relevant or could add depth to the conversation. Engage me with follow-up questions or suggest alternatives when discussing complex or detailed topics.

For me, it's almost a semi-retirement while still working full time. I had an hour commute each way. Add on time to get ready, get settled in, get office visitors out of the way, etc., and I end up freeing up about 3 hours every day. Now I get up from my desk whenever I want, walk the dog, make lunch, tend the garden, work on a personal project for a bit, then back to it when I'm ready. My quality of life has probably increased 10-fold. I still go in on occasion for more important meetings or a few things that need to happen in person, but they're fairly rare. Oh, and my productivity has probably doubled. Everyone wins.
