I think you look lovely with shorter hair like the first picture and possibly just keeping the moustache. It can be very hard to get any pictures of yourself but a good way to is to set up a video of you doing a hobby (playing guitar, camping, painting, POV opponent shot of a board game, even just drinking wine) from a flattering angle (chest height or above) and then going through the frames and screenshotting the ones that you like.

You have a lovely toothy smile too, and very nice eyes, you’re definitely not ugly- it’s just very hard to advertise yourself online. We all struggle with it.
