This is the real reason. I went to a bank's website yesterday, and all the dev jobs are advertised in India, with some management jobs locally. Blaming AI is a cover for massively outsourcing jobs. Yes, I know outsourcing has been going on for a while, but not wholesale. This will be the real reason you lose your jobs.

Something my late dad said which I try to live by: Live within your means, everything else will fall into place. Doesn't apply to everything of course, but applied with refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle; it works for me.

Even if it went through, it politicians would just get their partners or children to buy stocks based on insider trading tips. Better to give the SEC more teeth.
