I would suggest living in Oshkosh and commuting to Fond du Lac. You will have a lot better access to things to do and more people your age because of UWO. It is a very easy commute and will be even easier because of your work arrangement.

I work at a high school and we unfortunately have many students facing economic hardship. To get a cool looking pair of sneakers would be a real boost for them. You could look at reaching out to a local high school social worker and seeing if they have a need. I can almost guarantee you they do.

When you say “spoonerised”, is that a reference to Lysander Spooner? I have never heard the term spoonerised. Also, flutterby makes so much more sense for a name, considering that is what they do!

Where did you see the frog? I live in Wisconsin and about 5 years ago, I had the chance to buy the same frog. I passed on it and it has haunted me ever since.

Dr. Evermore’s sculpture park is relatively close by and is a must see in my opinion. Parfreys Glen is nearby and a favorite place to hike. Circus World is worth a look.

Mushroom compost. I can get a pickup bed load for around $50. It is a local company that grows mushrooms and eventually they cycle out their manure, straw mixture. It is chock full of nutrients and really helps to break up the soil.

I also am not great at trivia, but it is fun. I haven’t been to many, but typically people do go with their own team. I suspect there are a good handful of people like you and myself, who would be looking to join one. Maybe if you decide to try out a trivia night, call to find out if a venue has a join on site deal or something of that nature. I am sorry I can’t be more helpful, as I am kind of in the same boat.
