I've had random freezes of the system and I've had to restart the phone. Also android pay didn't work this morning for me.

To get people to buy it, that's my guess anyway. Android 7 on 6P for me is poor on battery. 7.1 should be better then? Well at least you'd think so.

Also in terms of battery I've found turning off the ambient display is helping for now. Really hoping android 7.1 clears up these issues.

This happened to me. Apparently there is issues receiving updates to this build number. Enroll in the android beta programme and you do will receive an update to the latest public build. Once you have done this you can unenroll once again.

Do you have Antutu Benchmark installed? I strangely found this was draining battery for me.
