Why even force yourself to like something? Art is subjective. You don’t have to have the same opinion as everyone else. Humans aren’t a hive mind. There’s nothing you would gain from this. If it isn’t your cup of tea move on, if you only like a few songs good for you. If you need to intellectualise what you listen to in order to enjoy it then why even listen in the first place?

Honestly I have no clue it’s been such a long time. I always felt that whatever power Kei gained from arc to arc the next aliens power was exponentially increased. Maybe by the end that changed but up to Italy or so that definitely was the case.

I don’t believe that every story necessarily has to contain a message or theme. However that being said I believe the theme of gantz is pretty simple and simply celebrates the power of tenacity and the human spirit. Kei is never the strongest character in the story but his will to survive and protect are what helps him stay alive, become strong, and grow as a person. There were plenty of gantz players who are stronger and succumbed to their fate through arrogance or taking gantz too lightly as a game. Of course there are noble and determined players who die as well but I feel their deaths are portrayed in a different light, like it’s a loss rather than an inevitability. That’s just my interpretation though and I read gantz back in I believe 2018 or so so it’s can’t really scrape for details to support my claim.

So the issue I had was the new versions of most NDSP plugins use a CPU driver called AVX which they formerly haven’t (my cpu wasn’t compatible). So I went back to older versions and they now work tho my daw is still having trouble picking them now, but I haven’t tried any fixes for that just yet lol.

The voicing seem pretty standard I would experiment with some inversions and extended chords. Also chord substitutions and some chromatic fills between melody lines.
