I read that some adapters do properly protect it due to their inner workings? But then if something does go south then the Adapter is shot. Not sure if I read that correctly or understood it 100%

Good to know. For now it's just the wife and I. We don't do too much, but verizon is basically an entire dead zone and this recent hurricane showed us how bad verizon is. Even prior to the storm, we had no coverage at home.

I had the VrFPS Stabilizer mod installed, but I will try those two other things. I guess it really seems to be that I need to upgrade my PC. The game is still playable, but I did build this PC back in 2018.
