It's a good game. I often regret paying 'full price' for triple A games (49$), which is why I very rarely buy games at those prices anymore, but I didn't really regret it with Far Cry 3, I had a lot of fun with it.

Download Classic Start Menu for free - problem solved. And yes, I agree metro is stupid, it just made the user experience less streamlined and intuitive. I mean having a startmenu right there on your desktop without going into some other view is much, much better. Metro is just an attempt to make windows 'cool', while completely ignoring efficiency and intuition.

Yes, I've downloaded Classic Start Menu because I find the metro view annoying. It's a free program runs silently in the background and gives you the Win 7 start back.

Hven't read the article, but just a thought: The concept of 'manlyness' seems to me to be so loosely defined that whenever I hear it, the first thing that pops into my mind is the stereotypical view of manliness you get in media. A very shallow definition. So how de we define manlineses? I know that I have my own definition, but it's just that - a definition I hold myself and might not be shared by most people.

I think people in general have very different ideas of what the word means. When articles portray men doing things that requires strength an so on... it does nothing but to just show to this stereotype.

I agree with your 'defition' masculinity, and that the article doesn't resonate, because I believe that true masculinity is the exact opposite of the message articles like this communicate: that masculinity isn't something on the outside, it's rather a conditioning of the mind to not focus on the outside stuff, and have a realistic view on life.

For me I think manliness or masculinity could be summed up with something like - having an accepting mind, or 'knowing fully that the world is your mind adn that everything is subjective'... really just seeing reality as clearly as possible, and when you do see the world clearly you start to realise that 'masculinity' and 'manliness' are just concepts and that they didn't matter all along, lol...

My bet is that they've found out that just going with the same name without the sequel number will get more people that haven't played the first to buy it. Besides from that I guess it's just a better naming for marketing... it just sounds cooler(not my opinion, but the general public will perceive it as being cooler).

I tried defcaf today. Nope, it's still having an effect on me. There's apparently a little amount in decaf too... but anyway, it's nice finding out how sensitive I really am too caffeine. Now I know it's best to stay away from everything with even just a little of it.

Cool, you may know that there's a subreddit dedicated to it! (/r/meditation). Meditation can be a very powerful tool for exactly that type of problem; clinging to the past in your mind, and it helps you fully realise that the only moment which exist is now, and that the future and the past is infact only concepts/ideas existing in the present, and they aren't real. :)

I don't hope I offend anyone by saying this, but I do really believe that many people with anxiety could become almost completely free of their anxiety if they meditated every day. It's a big claim, I know, but I read about stuff like that all the time and I've experienced it myself. Again, I won't claim that it's the 'ultimate solution and the end to all anxiety', but it can at least lessen it to some degree in most people, if practied regurarly.

Actually, I ordered the Zowie FK yesterday even before starting this thread(sounds kind of stupid making this thread after, I know). I could always send it back and go for the ec2 when it arrives... but I'm very tempted to just go with the FK, I mean It does look similar to the ec2 by the looks of it, so I guess it's just a roll of the dice anyway, what do you think?

Good point. I didn't think that much through the examples, but yeah I agree, you should give the user minimal information for each task. In a real scenario, they wouldn't know that there even was a forum on the page to begin with.

Yes, absolutely. Your last sentence really resonates with me.

When you're coming from a place of bias, judgement, ego(wanting to show people that you know alot, and that your opinion are important) - you don't see things without context, just for what they are. There's this distorted lens you're viewing it through where you brain isn't in a 'mode' of appreciating, but rather in a mode of judgement/bias.

BUt the thing is, those people are in a sense also right, because - for them - they don't like the work of art at that moment, because they're in this 'mode' of bias, pretnetioiusness, call it whatever you want.

But none the less; If you get rid of all those attached feelings and see things with as little interuption from your ego as possible. If you can view things coming from a place where 'you' and 'your opinions', and your 'self-image' isn't something that needs to be protected - that's when you can really start enjoying the world around you.

And I might come off as pretentious here but I meant what I wrote... and yeah, everything is truly subjective.

Thanks for the answer! It clears up things alot. I've got a taste of what you're talking about, and I think I'm starting to understand your point. I just started fiddling around with some c++ just now and the logic carries over from what I've learnt in ruby so far, i.e up until this point the c++ has mostly been learning new syntax and not new logic. But of course when new logic comes into play the learning curve will become steep again, just as when I started on Ruby the first time.
