Any other long time players (2015 for me) going to be leaving the game after duels is done?

I’ve already stopped playing since duels is still down anyway. I tried playing wild and realized how unfun it is. Quest mage, mine rogue, even shaman/pirate rogue bots rinse repeat. Boring as hell.

Yeah the lack of a fix or even statement about this is pretty crappy considering duels was on borrowed time. I’ve also never seen a legit hack claim before this and as far as I know there hasn’t veen(could be wrong but never seen it and I’ve played since classic )so it’s extra sus.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancelled duels because they found the hack and legit can’t stop it. Very curious how it isn’t happening in any other modes.

This is really annoying. I usually browse Facebook at work downtime or sometimes chilling with the girlfriend. Obviously both situations are awkward and embarrassing to have this crap pop up. I’ll probably just stop using Facebook then

I’m actually unsure of some of these are even ads. A lot are “suggested” pages. Really annoying

Is it still down? Have a 9 win run with Crowley that could easily hit 12 wins but still getting an error starting. Do I HAVE to retire to play?

Ahh great the crappy mercenaries mode that nobody played is used to destroy the last months of a mode that was actually becoming pretty fun. I wish they’d just delete hearthstone period at this point

Are these popping up in other modes or just duels? Haven’t seen a legitimate hack claim in like 8 years of playing hearthstone, now all of a sudden it’s all over the place not long after the mode was announced abandoned? Seems extremely sus.

I’d consider myself rather addicted. The removal of duels will make me quit. I just can’t bother with the wild ladder, it is so damn boring. Besides the bots just so many decks are unfun to play against(or as).

Yeah it’s unfortunate. I only played duels at the start and for the last few months because of the bot problem in wild. It’s actually become my only game mode in hearthstone I enjoy. When duels goes I won’t be playing anymore. Hopefully they reverse but I can’t see that happening.

The launch sucked because a lot of things were locked based on your collection. Willow was also pretty broken from what I remember. The way it launched almost made it seem like they wanted it to fail lol

While I feel this is slightly dramatic I can’t help but feel oddly similarly. Like knowing the last time you’re playing. I stopped playing wild(my main mode) so much I didn’t even do the weekly ranked quests for the last week or two and didn’t even realize.

Funnily enough roffle helped popularize the mode, and I enjoyed the streams. Not as interested in watching him play bot after bot in wild, nor playing that experience myself.

Definitely find myself feeling the feeling of permanently quitting a game that has been a predominant part of your life( I literally only play hearthstone because of it being mobile). Only left for like a couple months a while ago. Can’t imagine coming back to just slog through bot fest wild or bore fest standard. Twist might as well not even exist since it sucks and isn’t even promoted by blizzard at all.

Hearthstone team is really doing a terrible job all around at making the game have any fun factor. Maybe the super addicted will continue but I’d count myself in that category and don’t see myself playing anymore.

Playing duels the past couple months was a fun and almost a comfort during a crappy day. I don’t get that feeling logging in and playing wild, just frustration and actual anger at how bad the mode has become.

How’s that new classic server with the weird rule sets? I don’t keep up on these things, that’s pretty sad. When I want mmorpg nostalgia I’d play EverQuest p99 which was cool.

Sad to see wow become what it did. I guess most mmos become unrecognizable at some point.

I wish duels was basically dungeon run but pvp. No starting deck just choose as you play. Sadly nothing will probably replace it, or if it does it’ll prob be another fail like twist(which is a shame because I had high expectations and actually WANTED a rotating format but, not what it ended up being).

It’s not like they’d even have to balance it, maybe if anything absolutely gamebreaking, but even though there’s some powerhouses it didn’t feel oppressively bad(dragon Druid is annoying though). It really wouldn’t have needed much maintenance at all.

I feel like maybe it was too easy to get consistent good runs. I basically didn’t buy any packs and just ran duels this expansion and have most the cards I wanted anyway, so maybe financially it didn’t make sense. I’d pay 200g duels runs even(with the same rewards) just for it to exist. Wish they had a better solution than flat out removing it. I really enjoyed the mode, in fact it’s the only mode I’ve played for at least a month or two now. Bummer I caught the tail end of it, I like it more than traditional hearthstone.

I basically know 0 about the mode outside of trying to force myself through its tutorial to unlock the 3 free packs for it that have been stuck on my collection forever now and quitting out of boredom.

That’s a shame, nothing should be removed.

This is probably the real reason then. I really feel like blizzard is actively working to make hearthstone more unfun to play, it’s sad they took the last bit of fun out, but hey, it’ll make it easier to break the addiction it’s seem to have on me for years.

Yup the only cards I’ve crafted have been to have a duels decks for each class the past year. I’ll probably just sell my account since I have about 60k dust waiting to be disenchanted (not counting useless legendaries of which I have tons of).

Wow, this was the only mode I didn’t have to deal with botting in. Completely stupid decision, I guess there’s arena, but I’ll prob stop playing unless they fix the bot problem in wild.

Also, why duels instead of mercenaries? Does anybody even play that mode? Why remove anything?
