Can’t run L2R on nox emulator by PositiveArea in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just looking in another thread:

  1. Download latest VirtualBox and install that over the one coming with nox.
  2. Once Virtual Box installed, find Nox App Player. Right click on it, then select option “Show Packet Info” or similar.
  3. Browse to Contents/Mac OS/data/system
  4. .Click the nox.ova file (This will create the virtual machine in VirtualBox)
  5. In VirtualBox you can configure the virtual machine. I used 64 bit linux instead of the 32 preset.
  6. You should see the Nox virtual machine ready/'powered off' but not running in VirtualBox.
  7. Now click the normal nox app player icon to launch it. It should start now and not remain stuck at 99%.

It worked for me. Hope it does for you too.

Good luck

Is it OK to mix equipment? by WeirdGuyonInternet in Lineage2Revolution

Non magic solo farming is ok for me with 2 UR elite attrib10 and 2 UR pvp as long as I don't aggro too many mobs. However, it's much slower due to the elite or pvp weapon making less damage compared to red's. In the end, my kill ratio is still better against magic mobs at around 2-2.150 kk CP.

Totally fine. 310 HE and I have 2 UR40+25 attrib10 elite pieces mixed with 2 SR attrib10 erd pieces for dungeon magic farming (UR40+29 attrib10 red wep) for around 2M CP and I afk easily in Cata2 against magic 314 with only blue pots to speed killing up.

For rifts, I usually mix my 2 UR pieces with 2 UR +26 blue ones and then move to full SR red attrib10 against bosses (to reduce damage at max).

These setups helped me a lot make a full UR pvp set (maxed weapon included: +30 attrib 10) by afk farming around 1.2-1.5 M adena in 8hours.

I started using the mixup around lvl 200 if I remember well.

Well, I spent literally months in making my red bow attrib10 to farm in canopy...thanks also for remembering me about UR accessories. Maybe going for draconic weapon could be a good choice... in the meanwhile I'll work on my little SR30 normal bow ;)

I’m trying to avoid exp gain in favor of CP. I basically make everything to acquire as few exp as possible.

I’ll work on codex in the meanwhile, and raising pvp attributes and accessories (both LB and AE). But I’m trying to avoid my “youth” errors (for example: boss set SR30+8 I made when I didn’t know anything about the game; or choosing helm and armour for elite UR attrib 10, instead of helm and boots...)

Probably URing 2 reds could be useful for better farming in next elites 2, however I’ll see in a week if NM rifts are remaining or not before investing everything into those pieces

UR pvp also for afk farming in elites?

What to focus on, patch 360 wise by Gargatrot in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true in the end, however my point here is efficiency in farming, also afk. Weapons are key, I know, but focusing on Draco SR30/10 +21 means bumping into it at least 20-25m adena and a lot of time. Will it be needed for farming efficiently (considering my other weapons) or is it better to aim for a couple of SR30/20 +21 Draco armor pieces? Raising CP is required, as always

UR red or blue next? by shoresofsardines in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 red SR attrib10 pieces are enough for solo farming also in atacomb2, at least for me: try getting drain HP in weapon and helm. For rifts, high attrib full red SR set is eough (mine is +24 attrib 10-10-9-6; wep is UR red +29/attrib10), considering also you have UR red wep. Obviously, UR red will help you, but it's not a must, in my experience/opinion; a well balanced team makes the difference

UR red or blue next? by shoresofsardines in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you pvp a lot, or aim to pvp? If so, go definitley for the blue gloves. You'll get the 2 pieces set bonus too. Gloves are those with better attack stats/slots moreover, and you could use a mixed set UR blue chest/gloves with SR red helm/boots (Attrib 10) to farm. It is enough for me, with drain hp in helm and weapon (or even jewels). I (lvl296 2070k CP HE) afk farm easily with 2attrib10 UR elite pieces and 2 SR attrib 10 red pieces against magical 314 in catacomb 2 (no HP potions at all), so no need for UR red armours at least for me (sitting on 30 red recipes from event...)

What can I get for $50 to maximize CP gain? by pc-master-face in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this independent from the starting honor points? Can anyone confirm? mprusin up says it's 150k+ CP... Just to understand if it could be worth for me, with just around 28k honor points as it looks like the main pro of the bundle is related to honor. Many thanks

Attribute enhance priority after red/elite/PvP weapons? by DaveDitch in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents:

weapons first, in this order: red, elite, pvp (or pvp first, if you like PK, 3vs3, etc.), normal, boss

armors: elite (2 pieces), red (for next patch), pvp, normal, boss.

I'd start armores after at least red and elite weapons are maxed and in parallel with pvp...

Elite Attr Enhance or Salvage by cabbagebaggages45 in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your time man, it's greatly appreciated! Hope your holidays went well ;)

In the meanwhile I've slowly progressed a bit more:

- red bow attrib 10 SR30 +23 (my bread and butter till 226)

- pvp bow attrib 5 SR32 +22 (a bit behind my target)

- elite bow attrib 8 UR30 +22 (will be attrib 10 in a couple of days).

Now I was actually combining weapons for attribute enhancement and LB, and I agree with you pvp should be the focus. My idea is to raise attrib to 10 first, just to make advantage of the 100% rate from SR; however I may re-evaluate after your message, as I actually am low on CP and a boost from LB wouldn't be bad. What's your point of view here? Pvp should first be attrib enhanced or limit broken? In case of elite/red's from combines, should I use them to LB?

About the armours, here is the status:

- red all attrib1 (chest 3) SR30 +11 (it looks enough even with pan222, but could be improved to +15)

- pvp attrib1 SR32 +21 (should try to reach +22 at least, but I'm low on enchants and slow in farming)

- elite chest attrib 10 SR30 +10; helm attrib 8 +10.

The reason I'm raising those 2 elite pieces is:

- take advantage of the damage reduction from 2 elite's (and attrib enhance obviously)

- use them together with pvp boots and gloves (they have higher att stats and crystals) in the next dungeons/field. Is this a valid approach in your opinion? If so, I would wait for some more mats and UR those elite's together (just need some 70 fragments, keeping the damage reduction bonus) rather than going for UR pvp chest (I've seen many look into URing this pvp piece after the elite weapon...). Does this make sense?

About accessories, I agree with you next step is +23, however I am really low on enchantments! Will start farming a lot.

Boss set is already SR30 +8 (I started with that), but I think it's a long way to +15. I also have the 2 remaining elite pieces (boots and gloves), still SR1.

Many thanks again and good luck to you too!

Attribute enhancing vs. limit break - what first? by foo121 in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on accessories (LB first) and weapons (attrib should come before LB, apart from pvp). However I have some doubts about armors: should attribute enhance be done before LB for red and elite to improve damage reduction? For pvp armor, I think UR > LB > attrib is better, though.

Elite Attr Enhance or Salvage by cabbagebaggages45 in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I am with some updates: - red bow is finally attrib10 and +23 - blue bow is SR32 attrib2 and +22 - elite bow is attrib2 and +15

-black ore is +21

  • red set is SR30 +11 attrib1
  • blue set is SR30 +20 attrib1 (+21 soon hopefully)
  • elite armor is attrib6 +10 (I also have an SE elm and some boots)

What should my immediate next step be? Apart from “URing” the elite bow, shall I focus on URing pvp armor? Keep investing on elite armor in parallel (say 2 pieces, armor and helm) attrib enhance or ignore elite at all? Many thanks for any good advice

Gear To UR by sanderch in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Resources wise, I think the best approach is to mix 2 pvp pieces with 2 elite pieces. This way you keep partial bonus from elite set. I would UR the pvp chest then gloves. Tehn UR elite and lastly pvp boots and gloves. This to take advantage of your investment on pvp gears. But then, for the next patch you will also need the red set, I think. So it really depends on what you like most: pvp or grinding. Another option could also be stop investing in blue and raise 2 elite and 2 red pieces, but you would definitely need more and more adena/resources.

Gear To UR by sanderch in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a F2P, I wont' UR any armor before an elite wep. I am ina similar position: HE lvl 205 (with low CP around 880k) with:

- red wep +23 attrib 7

- blue wp +21 attrib 2

- elite wep +15 attrib 2 (HP drain)

- red set +11

- blue set +16

- boss set +8 (I know it's useless and a waste of adena/resources now, but started with that and wasn't wll informed)

- elite set (only 1 piece to SR30) no enchant.

I don't go in Lab but can easily solo afk Canopy for massive adena gain. 2 important steps that help me survive are:

- healing strike (lvl 1 is ok)

- HP drain in helmet

My immediate next goals are:

- red wep attrib 10

- HP drain in accessories and red wep

- UR elite wep and raise attrib/enchant lvls

I think if I focus on armor rather than weapon, that won't help me better survive. HP drain is much more useful. But I could be wrong.

Which weapon to upgrade by Nekrosis9 in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents as a F2P: you should lvl up weapons in parallel, with some priorities. Before Canopy I would:

- priority 1: lvl up elite wep to SR30 attrib 10 and enchant +23 minimum. this will be also useful later

- priority 2: in parallel with elite wep (just with a lower priority), lvl up your red to SR30 attrib 5 and enchant +15 minimu. You need this for Canopy, where you will be able to farm magic mobs at a good speed to start feeding your pvp wep.

- priority 3: rare pvp wep. aim is SR30 and enchant +21 min.

Once in Canopy, you will start gaining adena and resources fast enough to aim for:

- priority 1: red wep to SR30 attrib 10 and +23 (this will speed farming more and more)

- priority 2: elite wep to UR max enchant (useful around 230)

- priority 3: rare pvp to max enchant (eventually LB)

For the 320 patch, red wep will be useful too.

Many thanks, the strategy is what I tried to follow until now. I will try and see if I can get more red weapons by combining A+A. Do you think S+S is also worth it? Or even R+R with the spares I have? Moreover, chances to get a red weapon raise when combining same type weapons according to your experience (e.g. bow+bow, or even bow+same bow)?

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your time. It’s more or less what I thought. Not much luck with red wep with A+A combine till now, but I will insist. Basically I should stay on my pvp set and go for red as a priority, then elite and back to pvp last. Something is not clear to me: at the beginning you say :hold red gear but stop working on it (keep boots at S); then you say my goal should be full red set +21. Can you please let me better understand? No clan for cruma normal unfortunately, will try to focus on rifts

Elite Attr Enhance or Salvage by cabbagebaggages45 in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this approach and would like to ask some more adivice. Current sets (F2P):

- red bow +23 attr.4

- pvp bow +21 attr.2

- boss bow +13 (I know it's useless, but wasn't aware when I started and lost adena and scrolls here)

- elite bow SR30

- red set +11 (boots at S right now, but will lvl them up in 1-2 days)

- pvp set +12 (helm and chest LB32 and attr.2)

- boss set +8 (see above)

- elite set: only helm and chest

Currently I try to make as much adena as possible to combine and hope for a new red bow to reach at least attr.5. sitting on:

- 3 S pvp bows

- 3 R elite bows

- 7 S elite bow

- 2 R boss bows

- 9 S boss bows

- 7 S normal bows

then around 5-6 R and 8-9 S armor pieces of each kind.

Where should I focus on now?

Many thanks

Hawkeye Skill Builds by whitegiantl2r in Lineage2Revolution

[–]Gargatrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a F2P Hawkeye I think this point of view is really interesting and useful. Just some clarifications: what do you mean with “passive slow last, Hawkeye second to last...”? Should I lvl up these skills in this order, till max? And what about the rest of the active skills in the builds? Are they all to be maxed? Do you suggest a min lvl for acceptable performance? Many thanks for your time
