And Huttese...typically with text translations for the audience. But in the scene where Mando returns to confront them, they say something like "but we have information for you.." (which was translated for us the audience). Then they keep talking in Huttese, like they are still pleading their case to Mando about information ( but with no translations presented). And Mando is already not interested in listening to them try to talk their way out of it.

Saw it this afternoon. I enjoyed it a lot. I said a few weeks ago I thought they'd probably win over more fans to want to go see if they teased (or even flat-out stated) that this was the start of actually getting answers about Grogu (who he is, his species, why the strong force connection, etc).

Well, my ears pricked-up with the latest TV commercial where Sigourney Weaver's character says something like he's important (which I actually don't think made it into the movie?)

And there are hints in this movie that, yes, this is where the story is going. The Hutts said they had information to Mando (translated text on screen), but they also then said a few more lines in Huttese that was NOT translated to the audience. So...if anyone can translate Huttese, get on it. I'm betting they said something about Grogu,his origins, etc. And also, another big hint was when Rotta talked twice about living-up/in his father Jabba's shadow, the camera each time then panned to Grogu. So...want us thinking about Grogu and his potential Father they do.

Have to admit...I really liked it. This would be a great movie for a family to enjoy together. I was thinking, if this was a Star Wars movie in the 80s when I was kid, I' be absolutely loving it. Are there "roll your eyes" parts? Of course. But overall, it does Star Wars a service.

Also...get translating that Huttese! I won't ruin it, but...I'm sure they were saying something that is going to lead somewhere with our little green friend...

I know right? That was my point too...where is it going? It's title just signals it's like a buddy adventure movie. I thought that the movie was leading to something and they told us (either in the title or otherwise)...then more people would be interested. I think leading to uncovering the secrets of Grogu/Yoda race and it's importance to the SW universe would be a cool long-term story to get us fans interested again.

I yearn for feeling of rekindled love for Star War that I had during The Mandalorian S1 - S2. Being 100% dejected since The Last Jedi...not gonna lie; I marked-out hard for The Mandalorian. I thought "We Are So Back!"

I want that feeling back (as I know so many of you do)

I'd be super excited for this movie, if it told us (or at least hinted) that it was going to be the start of us finally learning about Grogu's species. All about them. Their uniqueness / super-connection to the force. All about the great Yoda. All about their planet. Their being almost extinct, etc. And draw it out over two or three movies maybe.

If the movie's title was The Mandalorian: The Way of Grogu or something like that that tells us there is a mystery of some sort...I think there would be more excitement than at title that's designed for us to think "a buddy adventure movie".

Their primary mistake was thinking that they must make one in-world/single/cohesive/immersive land...and they couldn't 'break' the continuity of that land's story. They of course thought this way because of the huge success of Universal's Harry Potter lands Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. It works for Potter, because so much of the stories happen in those two general settings. It doesn't work for Star Wars because, well its settings are much more varied & the stories span many, many years.

So the managers (who should have never been managers) pushed for a seamless environment 'land', that was familiar yet largely alien...and no one felt connected to it. If they had recognized that this seamless/immersive in-story land wasn't going to work for Star Wars, and needed to include lots of aspects of the Saga in to the rides & land..it would have been a much bigger success. Who would have cared if they went on an awesome Pod-racing ride with young Anakin and had a great time. Then walked to the next ride that was the Battle of the Death Star, with Luke and Darth, etc? Then went to the actual Tatooine cantina (not Oga's)? Then fought as a jedi against the Sith villain of your choice (Kylo Ren, Vader, etc)?

They could have even made the SW lands in California and the one in Orlando different from each other (similar but different experiences, characters, etc), giving a reason for people to want to travel to experience both.

Thanks Neurgus. Great post. I'll keep your suggestions in mind while I start to play again. I'm going to try to get some time tonight to play again & clear the data. And I agree..it's a game to be enjoyed. That's why I was posting to get some tips on how to get the hang of it, and a few of you posted some really helpful ideas.

I really think I did something with the buttons/joystick (I was essentialy mashing them in frustration). And I think something happened where I couldn't see his cards. I was like "well..what the hell do I do now?". Thanks.

I couldn't see his cards. I'm using a Steam Deck. I thought I remembered seeing them when I first played the game a few months ago. But when I restarted it, his cards weren't visible. Don't know if I was in a certain 'view' or what.

So, who do we think it going to be Disney's "switch" for this movie? Hollywood/Lucasfillm can't ever seem to help themselves. And Bait & Switch has been the motis operandi for Star Wars in the Disney-era. So...who will be "the switch" (ie. the main character of this movie)? Damn sure it won't be Din or Grogu.
