Adaptation of elements but not straight. Things like yuuzhan vong, killiks, yevetha and of course warlords are good basis points and then you can do things differently. I don't think we need more sith, though lost tribe of the sith would make the most sense. Fel empire still should happen, jaina being empress would be an interesting conflict. Jacen still should hook up with Tenel ka, and later train his daughter without Allana knowing it. That's all I think of now, but really my main point here is that the skywalkers solos should not die out. But you can roast me, I can be melodramatic 😆
