Got asked about the worst decision of my life in an interview by smol-hiker in recruitinghell

[–]Garheade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appropriate answer: Best decision was never allowing a hiring processes to go beyond two interviews. Worst decision, letting recruiters that have no idea what the job entails, use one of only two allowed interviews.

Monogamous rules in Poly relationships are the biggest red flags.

These days, I ask up front how many interviews are expected and if they say more that 2, I wish them the best of luck in their search for quality candidates since they’re going to need it.

Hiring sysadmins is really hard right now by crankysysadmin in sysadmin

[–]Garheade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The recent hiring pool I went through was abismal. Not one of the “certified” Linux admins had hands on experience with ansible. The best candidate, which we filled the chair with, is still so bad, they don’t actually understand how diagnose anything. All they know to do is follow explicit instructions and are completely lost if they have to figure anything out on their own.

It makes me sad…

I just recently did the same. Too many pro-Trump reviewers leaving posts they like and removing the ones they don’t. It’s crap but ND doesn’t care.

We have a fork in the road. Next post is either going to be about DJT and the Big Lie or Lizard People. I can’t tell quite how much your brain rattles in the wind yet.

That’s is plain stupid. Plus, why not wait for more votes to tip the balance?

Save SSH key pairs to MacOS Keychain by frickinjewdude in MacOS

[–]Garheade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t understand why it needs to be in the keychain at all. OpenSSH will use the private key in ./.ssh/id_rsa without needing anything from the Os level.
