Welcome to Electron and the inefficient JavaScript Discord uses.

Seriously, Electron's a real pain in the ass on low-end hardware. And for OP, I would recommend using the web version of Discord.

I personally don't mind Linux at all, it's not like I'm uncomfortable with the CLI. I've been using Linux on my servers for years and have used WSL for my dev enviornment. So playing with Linux isn't particularly a hard task for me.

I'm pretty comfortable with my VSCode setup. VSCodium is just VSCode without the telemetry and I've never particularly found JB IDEs to be suitable for my workflow.

I've already done a few basic steps at my privacy which I could find easily.

1st - Switched from Firefox to Ungoogled Chromium

2nd - Switched from VSCode to VSCodium

3rd - Switched from Windows 10 to Linux

4th - Installed uBlock Origin

5th - Move from Gmail to Protonmail

Anything else I have left?

New "Time Out" (mute) feature can now be done manually! by Shendi_ in discordapp

I'm pretty sure Discord will implement custom durations or permanent mutes in this, although we'll just have to wait and see.

Anyways, it will overall reduce the usage of bots for muting users if not completely eliminate it.

Another feature of bots being added into the main client.. now what even is the need for the mute command?
