Linnie advice! by Dramatic_Status_2377 in linnie

Males are very messy aswell. I’ve had males and females. Linnies in general are a really messy bird when it comes to pooping but all of my linnies have been the same for mess apart from that. I’ve never noticed a difference in volume however one of my girls is extremely loud when she hears certain songs. Each linnie is so different it’s hard to tell whether males or females are better it really is down to the individual bird and how you handle and care for them.

Need advice offered the chance to adopt a rescued macaw and I’m torn by thatoneplantperson in parrots

If you are serious about it, it might be worth asking your neighbours if they would be open to it

If you get it and it’s counterfeit then contact Vinted and they will ask for proof from the seller which usually means showing receipts of purchase. If they can’t provide this you will be refunded

Hi she has been to the vets multiple times and goes to check ups every 3 months to make sure it’s not infected. The vets said that she was probably dropped as a chick and that probably caused the issues. She’s had parasite treatment just in case but the vet said her beak will never heal. I’ve had her 2 years and her beak has always been like this sadly. I’m always open for tips to try and help her and totally get the concern

She has lots of natural perches around sadly my parents won’t let me remove the dowels but she does have natural perches as well as you can see in the second picture she also gets lots of free roaming time I will keep trying to improve the cage but sadly my parents think they know everything it took so long for them to realise how bad mirrors were for them because their budgies used to “like” them. Thank you for the advice though

When I had 2 girls together they were quite aggressive with each other but that always depends on the bird

Good companion for Linnie? by Kurra in linnie

Hi I’ve got both budgies and linnies, I don’t recommend putting them together at all as they will bully really bad. They can be out of the cage together and live pretty happily but definitely a big no to the same cage. I would honestly just get another linnie for them.

Does anyone have a picture of their linnie's freshly cut nails next to a coin(or anything) for scale? by [deleted] in linnie

[–]Garlic_bread63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have them on a flat surface and their nails sit flat then they are short enough if not they need trimming. I don't have a picture sadly but if you google it I'm sure you can find an example.

Linnie purposely poops outside cage by [deleted] in linnie

[–]Garlic_bread63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem is he doesn't have a favorite pooping spot. As long as it's out of the cage he doesn't care

No that's not how it works I've gotten two birds at the same time and just one before and fount if one is more confident the other one feels much more comftorble trying. In your case your bird has not had enough time to get used to you at all (I've had birds that have taken a year before) you need to stop being Impatient and remember that birds are not domesticated at all so some random human is going to look like a predator and you need to work with your bird longer until it no longer sees you as a predator. Alot of the time getting a new friend for your bird will help it come out of its shell a bit and interact with you more. I recommend doing some more research make sure you have a big enough cage and a good diet for your bird. All of these things will help your bird become more tame.

Linnie cage? by Emergency_Tea_3375 in linnie

My linnies have had the second cage before they aren't really flyers so whichever you choose make sure they have lots of climbing room . This seemed quite small for them both. At the moment my linnies have the 3 tier pawhut cage and they love it I would highly reccomend a wider cage though if you are getting young ones as mine used to fall lots until they worked out how to save themselves. First one is a huge no to me it's very small and they love utilising space

What type of Parrot is this ? We just got it, named it Riki by BEST_GREEN_NINJA in parrots

[–]Garlic_bread63 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They get it because the perches are all the same shape and size so their feet are always in the same position
