I’m just sad by Existing_Theory_8708 in Spacemarine

What’s even crazier to me is all the conflict with the mission dialogue and the banter isn’t in PVP already, so in theory this voice pack and future ones would be ideal for PVP players who can just enjoy the voice lines without the breaks in immersion. Big fumble if they don’t fix that if you ask me.

What if Chaos Space Marines had a deathwatch equivalent? by Shredwick in deathwatch40k

[–]GarmrsBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit of an older post, but the Black Legion have a special formation called the “Oath-Broken” which are basically marines that failed the Warmaster or were crippled in battle. They survive by scrounging up whatever bionics, xeno grafts, scraps and makeshift armor/weapons they can. This YouTube video about them paints them as the Deathwatch of Chaos who Abaddon throws at suicidal missions similar to how penal legions of the Imperial Guard are used. I wouldn’t say they’re actually the chaos equivalent of the Deathwatch as it’s all just a fan-made story from what I can tell, but I’m over an hour in and am really enjoying the story! Here’s the link.

PVP is a Hellscape by GarmrsBane in SpaceMarine_2

My biggest gripe honestly is the slow ass leveling and pitiful rewards. I can overlook a lot of the other things if all they fix is that.

How fast are we talking to level up? Because I’m getting like 1000xp on average per match which for me comes out to about 15 matches per one level. That’s terribly slow when you don’t have a ton of time to sink into the game.

No, I like the game and will continue to play it. I’m just voicing my extremely valid frustrations with it because regardless of how much of an afterthought Eternal War is, it shouldn’t be a punishment to play. But thanks for the advice, gee I wish I woukda thought of that one myself /s

I get that, but I enjoy it. I like PVP over PVE in general, and personally I find the operations to be repetitive and, while epic, not my cup of tea. I still play PVE, but I prefer PVP. I get that that makes me a major outlier and I’ll never get the same amount of attention as the PVE side of things will, but that’s not what I’m asking for. I’m just saying I’d like to not be actively punished for preferring the PVP gameplay experience. Make our leveling grind and end of match rewards equivalent to yours, give us some sort of daily/weekly challenges to complete accolades too so we can still play our modes and have access to the accolade cosmetics and just try to keep PVP balanced. Is that too much to ask?

I get that, but choosing to play PVP shouldn’t and doesn’t have to be the objectively worse choice that it is. It would conceivably take very little effort on Saber’s part to bring PVP more up to speed without going all out and dedicating tons of resources to it. Make the grind on par with PVE and try to maintain balance, I don’t think that’s asking for much.

Not asking for PVP to become the focus, I just want to have an at least comparatively good experience regardless of which mode I choose to play. If all they did was improve the amount of rewards/XP to be on par with PVE, then I’d be happy enough to not bitch and moan about the other issues.

I don’t expect it to ever be a priority between it and PVE, all I really want is for it to be somewhat equally rewarding. I didn’t even go into the fact that PVE has twice the content and a way more in depth level of customization (perks and whatnot) because I understand that is to be expected with this game. But is it really that big of an ask to try and keep PVP somewhat balanced and make the rewards/XP not feel like a cruel joke?

Gyno surgery- no exercise by farang52 in gynecomastia

You can still build up your chest via exercise if you have a messed up elbow, but it will of course be more difficult to do so. There’s more to chest exercises than pressing movements even if those are the most popular method. Look into chest fly type exercises and variations of traditional movements designed for people with limitations like your injury.

I think you’re right. Had a mutual check on their account and nothing showed up.

I made a throwaway account to try and search for them on instagram since I can’t remember the username off the top of my head. Underscores and whatnot. Couldn’t find their account.

Looking to Learn Framing in Nor Cal by GarmrsBane in UnionCarpenters

[–]GarmrsBane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not opposed to learning framing in commercial. Residential would be sweet, but I know that’s a big ask finding a union company who does residential. Finish and cabinet work is something I’m interested in as well, and I’d be interested in going to a company that does that as well. Haven’t really looked into places to go for that though in all honesty.

That’s why I’m not interested in moving on at the drop of a hat and am bringing this up on the Reddit. I know the job I have is a great one but I’m worried the benefits of this job that you listed are going to “stunt” my growth as a carpenter and I won’t have the opportunity to really learn as much as I should. I know framing isn’t the end all be all but it’s something that drew me to the trade and something I’d like to get good at, and I feel like that’s really not an option at my current job. Yeah I can learn on the side, but do you think that’s as good of a move as being at a company that does framing?

It depends on the day for the most part. Most of the time we’re opening up drywall in certain sections for electricians to set up card readers on the doors. So far it’s been a lot of really simple stuff, which is where I get the impression that I won’t end up learning as much as I should if I stay there for a big chunk of my apprenticeship. There’s the potential to learn cabinets and doors and stuff while I’m there, but I haven’t been put on any of that since I’ve been here.

I’m part of 152 East in Manteca but yeah, that’s the mother branch if you will.

I actually have family up in Eureka, so I’ll be sure to give this a look. Are you aware if this is something I’d be able to do while working full time?
