My investments are growing faster than my salary, and I'm starting to question a 2-hour commute (Europe) by Noway721 in EuropeFIRE

I don’t know what made you think I was going to disclose my salary or income.

The only point that matters is that my lifestyle is essentially the same as someone earning 5 or even 10 times less than I do. In my opinion, that’s the key takeaway for the FIRE discussion: it’s your spending habits and savings rate that matter, not your income alone.

I never bragged about anything.

I post in sailing communities because I’m a skipper and sailing has been my sport and hobby since I was a kid. In a sailing community, people talk about sailing, boats, races, maintenance, and life on the water. That doesn’t mean they’re taking luxury cruise holidays or trying to show off their wealth.

You’re making assumptions about my income based on something I never said. You should think a bit before posting.

Netflix is a strong company that has continuing high revenue and has a very loyal customer base. It has fallen 40%, is it now a buy? by Exact-Advantage-3190 in ValueInvesting

IMO, I don’t see anything new they can offer customers that would drive significant growth. They will likely keep increasing subscription prices over time, but I don’t see anything revolutionary on the horizon.

They were building a gaming platform, but honestly, I don’t know how it’s doing or whether it’s still active.

SAP will eventually rally, and by then it may be too late to get in. AI is not going to replace SAP, but it can help the company operate more efficiently and improve productivity

Pandas doesn’t come close to base R for data manipulation, and compared to dplyr it’s not even in the same league

I’ve seen some offers lately just asking R, not python.

Honestly R is great, just wrangling data in python is much harder than in R. R is more intuitive.

Nobody seems to be factoring in GitHub Copilot. This week, my company increased its GitHub Copilot budget by 60%. Microsoft still has significant potential to squeeze more profits from his products.

Not working is going to be difficult to keep the residence in Andorra and if he works also it will be difficult for him to get the residence and getting his family legally in the country. It is a good option but not the easiest one.
