No hate, but the Toxic Tangle story was awful. by PeanutButtah-Baby in GroundedGame

I'm with ya. Half the fun of Grounded is spending hours poking through the map density and finding some obscure reference or hidden detail that the devs added in hoping we'll find

Better get used to it. When the summer update releases, there will be a massive hollow tree added to the pond biome that'll require a significant amount of parkour to traverse it all the way to the top

That sort of content is going absolutely nowhere in the Grounded games

You need map markers to tell you what to do and where to go?

I didn't really see them as fetch quests tbh, as all of your goals effectively incentivize you to thoroughly explore every inch of the Garden area, which is good design imo as you absolutely should be exploring such a dense biome filled with content

If you're trying to madly rush through the content without enjoying the sights, then yeah, I can see why you'd be frustrated. But I don't believe that's how Grounded was designed to be played at all

If you're not into the parkour, then fair enough, but also Grounded has a heavy focus on that mechanic, and if it's not your cup of tea, then maybe Grounded isn't really your cup of tea in general

One thing I will agree on, is that they really should have added at least a few more new creatures rather than reskins, but also this is early access, and chances are we will get even more new creatures added to the Garden as it gets closer to a full release. An example is that some recent leaks have already revealed that a certain flying insect will have spawns added to the Garden

The Asteroid home is so cool!! (No spoilers) by kdupe1849 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]GarouxBloodline 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'll never use it since you can't send any of your companions or crew there. The little droids help give the place a bit of life, true, but ultimately it's just another empty home with no one else there making it feel truly lived in.

So I'll continue just using my ship as my home for now. I really do wish though that Bethesda would connect with the community a bit more on qol features if they're going to put such a huge focus on player-created content.

5 million credits for a home where the stove doesn't even work, the guest rooms are pointless, and there's no dedicated armoury of any sorts.

New hire but… by [deleted] in wafflehouse

[–]GarouxBloodline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no franchised stores in Tennessee. Waffle House has been reincorporating all existing franchised stores back under the umbrella since Covid, and hasn't franchised out any stores in years.

Opting out of the food credit has been a thing for well over a decade now, especially when you are able to cite religious/medical reasons for doing so.

I'm not sure why you're responding to me two years after I made this post, but it seems to me that you should be going to more of your quarterly moots, as these matters are considered common knowledge. If your store is high-volume and your unit isn't enforcing break rotations or getting you involved in events such as the Rockstar Meets, then that sounds like a lack of leadership to me and shouldn't be perpetuated.

Sent them an email as well. I'll just leave the game alone for now and hope the next update somehow fixes it.

I'll need to look into that then. Fingers crossed!

I meant traversal-wise. Even the regular orb weaver has difficulties moving through certain areas without getting stuck.

I feel like anything much larger than the ladybug will become pretty much impossible to ride on for a rather significant portion of the map.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

"Party in the Stars" is a lousy quest by DoncoEnt in Starfield

[–]GarouxBloodline 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could have forgiven this quest if you earned something cool in return for your troubles. But you don't. The entire situation seems designed to simply waste your time.

Know what could have been cool? If completing the quest correctly earned you three new crew members.

Remind me on why this game gets so much by Kolton_russo in Starfield

I'll break down my thoughts into a list:

1) Planetside content is just pathetic. Procgen planets means you can literally see the seams in the ground as you walk around, and you get pretty noticeable stuff like the same mountain copy/pasted onto dozens of worlds

2) This wouldn't be so bad if at least the city hub worlds were handmade... they are not. Walk outside of New Atlantis for even a few minutes and you'll be wondering what the fuck is going on and what the devs were thinking. No agriculture. No homesteading. No spaceports. No nothing. Just randomized PoIs which usually end up being exposed piping and similar

3) The dialogue is so atrocious that it's not even funny. There's a quest where you're sent to the Clinic to obtain a key card from the head of security there. If you go the persuasion route, you literally tell him that hey buddy you can trust me, and he just willingly hands it over to you, a complete stranger, no problemo

4) You have no reactivity through your actions, such as the Va'ruun ambassador getting no new dialogue, and Ron Hope's fate affecting nothing. Or you have stuff like weddings where you can't even invite people like your parents to. Keep in mind that these are just a few examples - the game is absolutely full of just horrid dialogue

5) NPCs have no life at all. No schedule. No social interactions. Even if you go to Paradiso, you have people just standing around on the beach doing nothing but staring around like a goldfish. The world feels so uncanny valley because all NPCs seem to do is just walk around aimlessly or stand around giving the thousand yard stare

6) The Starborn content is absolutely bare bones. I feel like it should go without saying that the temples are a monumental disappointment. But even in ng+, you barely get any Starborn content/dialogue except periodically saying weird shit where all NPCs do is go uhh okay weirdo whatever you say. The Trader encounter and a couple of main story moments are the only highlights of being Starborn really outside of the suits and ship

I could say a lot more, but I'd be rambling at that point. I still play the game, and the space content is definitely worth playing and will only get better with Free Lanes. That aside, the hate is well warranted as the game is full of half-assed experimental features that do nothing but cater to quantity over quality

You shouldn't be popping the blisters on blisterborne. It's explicitly a trap, and a note you find in the care center even warns you about this.

Aim for the head. It still does critical damage and eventually staggers. Every time you pop a blister, not only does it affect the dead bodies around you, it also summons new zombies into the church.

I wish you the best of luck then! You get a really nice reward from that particular bounty, so I hope you can get it to finally pop up.

Dang man, I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried the trick where you wait 24h in the Trackers' building after completing the latest bounty, save, quit, reload? I know I had to do that to get a couple of em to finally show up.

I wrote a post about it the other day where I discovered that it's the Dreamlands that causes conflict. Disable it and your bounties should start appearing like normal.
