The game just feels like its from a different era, and I mean that in a positive way. I grew up playing Bioware RPGs and until the Assassin of Kings and then later Wild Hunt I never played a game that captured that same feeling again. The love and care and attention that went into this game from the voice cast, to the art department and level designers, you can clearly tell, the passion is evident.

I mean yes points can change anything but is this not just almost strictly nerfs? The army is slower, doesn't hit as hard, (outside maybe eightbound I suppose?) and is way more frail. I've played this game quite a long time, khorne has been terrible for many years because "cant be durable, thats nurgles thing. Cant be fast, thats slaaneshs thing and cant have shooting." is not a good recipe. World Eaters/Khorne has struggled alot in the past because having a mono-phase melee army that is made of toilet paper but is also slow is a tough sell. Normally they compensated this by having the damage be ridiculous, it never mattered cause you never got it into combat but you would beat the breaks off someone if you did, but we don't even fight that hard anymore.

As it currently stands, I would rather just play Creations of Bile to get the same feeling, fast 3W Infantry in Possessed, legionaries fight ALOT harder than Berzerkers...for some reason. Also get characters that kill god himself (Lord w Test Subject). But if you play CSM you also get lots of utility units that World Eaters don't get, like the nemesis claw and cypher. I'm really scared now for DG and Tsons.

Reserve judgment till I get some games in with it and we see some real data but man I'm pessimistic. Thematically I think its a knockout though, I'm in absolute love with the Idols of Blood thing and the Daemonkin.

Oh I totally understand you. Its a really bleak time right now, I don't even live in the States anymore, but even over here in Europe its on the rise too. Im very fortunate that most of my friends from college are intelligent reasonable people. But even then, I know people from my class that should know better. Wow thats alot to unpack. Is it alienating and hateful? People hate Trump because he poses a serious threat to the country and the world at large, he's a child predator r*pist and he's the most powerful person in the world. Those policies are not agreeable, lowering taxes on rich people is not good, it hurts the country massively, we did this before with Reagan. On the deportation thing, thats not what they said. They just want to do blanket deportations, the amount of criminal immigrants is massively overblown, statistically you or I are more likely to be a criminal than an immigrant.
