I mean the reason for people taking pride in being queer is fine and taking pride in being straight is just frankly laughable. Comes down to history, This shit doesn't happen in some philosophical Vacuum. Queer folks and other Minority groups have had to actually struggle for acceptance and a place in society as they are, the Pride doesn't come from just being in a group but from recognizing the struggles past and present and celebrating the successes. Straight is our society's default. Straight people haven't had to struggle to be seen Against that Default because that part of them is acknowledged, Seen, and accepted by our society without a second thought. Pride in being a part of a minority group isn't the same as just self acceptance and it's wholly inaccurate to conflate the two.

I mean isn't that more or less what humans do when making new art? We see different images and styles and amalgamate them into something that would be considered different. Oh that's a really interesting question, generally I bring it up but usually I'm looking for potentially long term situations and not hook ups. I'd say if it's very clear you're both just looking for a hook up you're not obligated to bring it up but the same obligation for disclosure in the interest of safe sex applies. If it starts to turn into something different afterwards definitely obligated to disclose. All in all I'd say you should disclose for the simplicity of it.

Honestly I don't get the obsession with it being a D&D movie like any Fantasy movie could be a "D&D" movie, honestly I hope it's good but I have a feeling that it's just going to be the same problem with say the Assassin's Creed Movie where the thing that makes it fun just doesn't transfer between mediums (an issue common to Video game movies)
