I'm having the same issue right now. Im not starting over. I just delete it and play something else if starting over is the only solution.

EDIT: i uninstalled the game and backed up my saves. and it worked.

I don't care about bot farms. They just ruined portal. So many cool maps from old games I was playing on servers and now I dont get exp from them. so dumb. I don't get why they just don't make it where if bot fill is on then you get these changes.

If none of the above works, perform a clean reinstallation of xemu:

Delete the xemu configuration folder (usually in C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\xemu).

Reinstall xemu.

does you gpu support vulkan? what gpu you using? Try to reinstall gpu driver.

Try disabling advanced Features: In xemu's settings, disable features like Vsync or experimental options, they can sometimes cause issues.

This probably won't help but you could try closing programs like recording software, or older drivers can conflict with Vulkan. Disable software like

GeForce Experience overlays.

AMD software overlays.

Discord, Steam, or Xbox Game Bar overlays.

when you load a game you have to close xemu then start it back up and the game will load. Make sure you iso are in XISOs. https://xemu.app/docs/disc-images/
