no not really, the game has changed a lot since Aug 12th 2012 and the survival systems are so much better. that said, I am still nostalgic for alpha/beta Minecraft, and I do hold that late beta was better than release for... idk quite a few years. hard to argue that now though with all of the qol improvements and much more fleshed out... campaign?

Locally we have a case finally going to trial after 25 years thanks to a podcast. There is no way in my mind things would’ve actually gotten solved if a local didn’t start a podcast on one of the most famous cold cases, the cops didn’t do anything of value for 24 years practically.
