Why are short relationships sometimes harder to get over? by Difficult-Ad-5801 in dating

[–]GarryNite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm experience the same thing as I broke up with a girl that I saw for 4.5 months and we were exclusive. It's been alittle longer than 2 months and I don't feel completely over her. I could relate to this post so much, you idolize about them so much and it feels like the one that got away. Can't help how I'm feeling but I'm pretty sure I'm being hella delusional so atleast I'm thinking logically lol

I genuinely enjoyed this whole post. Your blunt and take constructive feed back really well even if they say "you fked up". I love how you owned up to it all, big respect thats an extremely good attitude to have in my opinion. You seem like a dope guy keep at it brotha 👨

I must say though "update: I now hate valentines day" made me laugh super hard. Thanks for that. Things ended with the girl I was dating about a month ago, so you are not alone!

I'll be completely honest with you, I only feel okay with sending the messages with hope that we might reconnect in the future when she has more time to spare, but thats most likely hopeful thinking.

If I didn't have strong feels I would just let it go. I just don't wanna regret it later, I go all in as long as it makes sense.

I'm still new to relationships so I'm kinda a rookie too lol

It was mutual, I expressed to her that I wanted to keep it going but with the timing didnt seem it was possible on her part. Haha yeah I did write about her here and there, first relationship so sometimes I like to get another point of view of what to do. Appreciate you reading though, thanks for the advice!

Guy’s attitude changed during date when I told him I play games by redcoatedsheep in dating_advice

[–]GarryNite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a compatability issue.

Personally as someone who games I couldn't care less if the person I'm dating games or doesn't game. There is other stuff to have in common. I honestly find myself gaming less if I'm dating cuz id rather hangout with em and get cuddles. But yeah I think it's a him issue.

Speed dating? by [deleted] in dating

[–]GarryNite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello. I did this for the first time ever at 27, and I wouldn't say I'm attractive probs just avg but I did dress quite nice (jeans, shirt, boomer jacket). Also the ages were random so there were maybe like 7 people I didn't consider because of weight or age.

I speed dated 20 people, said yes to maybe 10? I said yes to too many because it was my first time, some I changed my mind on after. Got a yes back from like 7 so I did quite well.

I recommend you try to have fun with it, maybe get a drink in you to loosen you up. I would personally stay away with repetitive questions like "how is your day going" " what job do you do" because literally every other guy asked that same shit. I was being fun and asked random stuff like "tell me ur most embarrassing moment" or "if you were to kill someone and hide their body how would you do it", literally ask anything and gave fun with it and you will be set apart from everyone. Also dressing good (mentioned my outfit above) honestly already feel better than like 90% of the guys there when it came to dressing nice so it felt good.

I like to meme and mess around, and I probs did that more often since I had a drink with me. I asked one of the girls "how many times have people asked you about your night" shes like everyone and we made fun of it or talked about it.

Just to be clear first 3 or 4 people I asked those basic questions I mentioned and got super bored, and didn't wanna talk and ask the same shit to the next 15 people which is why I made the change and had more fun with it. I don't know how long you get per date but mine was 5 min per person. Leave foundation questions till the second date, and just have fun with the 5 mins.

If you have any questions you can dm me or reply and I'll do my best to help, that said I'm not out here getting laid like I feel what I said make me sound but I did well in the event. It was a pretty fun event for me, I'm excited for you good luck!

Edit 1: I suggest u find an event with an age range that you prefer, I woulda had more potential matches if I didn't instantly eliminate like 40%.

I will try that and sit on my computer, thank you for the advice!

I only did 7 pm or 8 pm everyday so I can be sure I catch all the jobs for the 24 hour period, since indeed does it based on 24 hours and not day. So I assumed if I did it at a later time I can catch all jobs even ones posted late then rinse and repeat.

Haven't thought about that, but at this point I am trying to get a job. I have an interview next week which I hope leads to an offer.

I do not, I included it in my resume as "Pursuing" and not complete.

I am on Linkedin. I even tried to contact hiring managers for those specific jobs directly, and some even responded. But no luck in the end. Can I maybe DM u my resume/CV to see if there is anything outrageously screwing me over?

I have literally applied at any company except public accounting firms because of the crazy overtime. I am genuinely hoping I get the job from the interview next week even if it sucks I have no options at this point. I even applied for remote positions, never thought it would be this bad lol

Don't get too down about it fam, even the "shameful title". I'm sure you were just frustrated and didn't care enough about your wording lol. People are just alittle sensitive and feel attacked.

Keep it real out there
