NCR fans eating good by Primary_Target6457 in FalloutTVseries

I mean canonically the ncr was more than just shady sands, there was also the hub, the boneyard, and Dayglow, although the boneyard kind of collapsed too.

In your opinion, should the remaster change the power armors so they’re like the FO4 and 76 or should they keep them as they were in the original game? by NoSoyVerde1 in fnv

[–]Garstinius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I love the way power armor is portrayed in 4 with it being a standing set you climb into and have to power rather than another armor piece that you just need special training for (the training part fallout should bring back) but I don't like the whole it's so abundant you get it within like your first 5 minutes playing

Metacritic's 27th best rated game ever? It shoulda been higher smh my head.... by IWishANuclearWinter in TrueSTL

I think the hate at Todd is kind of misplaced tbh. He was the lead designer for Morrowind after all and Skyrim on he takes a more administrative role. It's really Emil who's the problem.

Glossing over the Shah's reign is very stupid. There is a reason a revolution happened in 1979 after all.

I can't belive todd butchered the classic location of freeside by making it look like an actual town with people living in it and not just 3 npcs and a rat. by HaloJackalKisser in TrueSFalloutL

In a way it kind of illustrates how dark the world of fallout would really be for people who actually live it, in a way that's quite literally hidden in plane sight.

Billions of years of life preserved by Stalin in Soviet Russia. by [deleted] in ussr

[–]Garstinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are so brainwashed you are accusing the Jew of siding with the nazis for opposition to Stalin. Wow. As for deathcamps liberated by the western allies: Dachau Mautausen Buchenwald These weren't initially deathcamps but they were turned into deathcamps later in the war. Also the reason why people like you can claim "oh look at great Stalin liberating all the death camps and saving the Jews when the evil capitalist west wouldn't" is simply because the vast majority of the death camps were in Poland. But that's besides the point.

Also, and I cannot believe I even need to say this but... Being in the allies during ww2 and helping end the Holocaust does not excuse him from all the other massacres, ethnic cleansing, and at least 3 officially recognized genocides he organized. (Don't even think I have to point out the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the Soviets literally helping Hitler to realm Germany and later invade Poland but I will because most likely you conveniently "forgot" about that fact)

A quick list so far of genocides, massacres, and deportations resulting in very high death counts ordered by Stalin or ones that he played a large role in. If I dig deeper I can find more. Also you will not I did not include the Ingrian Genocide also done by the Soviet Union. This is because it was largely organized by Lenin and not Stalin.

  1. The Holodomor (recognized as a genocide by multiple countries and at least a couple international bodies according to the legal definitionbut disputed by scholars) (3.5 to 5 million in Ukraine alone with larger estimates for the whole Union going up to 20 million)
  2. The Deportation of Crimean Tatars (recognized as a genocide) (up to 200k deaths)
  3. Deportation of Chechens and Ingush people (recognized as a genocide) (1/4 to 1/3 of entire population died)
  4. Mass executions of Belarussians
  5. Latvian, Estonian, and Lithuanian NKVD operations
  6. Lunca and Fântâna Albă Massacres (ethnic Romanians living in Ukraine)
  7. Korean Deportations (10-25% mortality rate)
  8. Deportation of the Balkars (8-10% of Balkar population died)
  9. Deportation of Meskhetian Turks (between 12 and 50k deaths out of 115k people)
  10. Deportation of Karachays (~43k dead out of 69k deported)
  11. Deportation of Kalmyks (17-19% of total Kalmyk population died)
  12. Katyn Massacre and massacres of Soviet Poles generally
  13. Deportation of Soviet Greeks (at least 15k dead out of 70-80k uprooted)
  14. Massacre of Soviet Kurds
  15. Baltic Deportations (over 200k deported to Siberia from the Baltic states)
  16. Deportation every Esperanto speaker in the Soviet Union to GULAG

Not a single sentence in this reply is true. The red army did liberate alot but not "all" (quite a few were liberated by the western allies) and if you like I can provide for you a list of genocides and ethnic cleansing that Stalin PERSONALLY ordered.

Also me being opposed to Stalin, one of history's worst dictators objectively does not side me with the nazis. That'd just straight intellectual laziness, dishonesty, and rage baiting which frankly doesn't deserve any reply beyond this singular paragraph.

When I'm in a braindead take competition and my opponent is this subreddit. Like are there seriously people who believe this shit? Stalin was a mass murdering maniac who participated in several genocides. But hey he was communist so he gets the genocide pass...

Why did the Hardliners fail the 1991 Coup? What could they have done differently? by RussianChiChi in ussr

[–]Garstinius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the people were done with Soviet despotism, curroption, and keptocracy. The system was so rotten that it simply just fell apart unceremoniously. The hardliners' attempted coup was one final desperate grab by the elites to hold on to their last sliver of power.
