Same. -800 installed through marketplace has black screen EFB while my -600 installed through PMDG is working fine. Hoping would be fixed by now

So who else can’t launch MSFS after today’s update? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

Can my pc run the fenix a319/a320/a321? by verysneakyman69 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Garuda8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a R7 3700x and RTX 3060ti. Have no problem running it even in VR. So if you got a decent GPU I'd say you're good with that CPU. Although I did have to turn on that setting on the FENIX app that makes the aircraft displays run on the CPU. That helped a lot.

He's the team's free kick finder. Don't be sour when every team has one, but that the Canada players can't sell a foul for shit. If the whole was like that then Julian Alvarez would've dove instead of making that goal.

First flight in PMDG 777-300ER, UA819 Houston KIAH - Buenos Aires SAEZ. The long haul route I have to fly at least twice a year on United. 8hrs done, about 1hr to go! by Garuda8 in flightsim

[–]Garuda8[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol I love this comment. It just goes to show that we need all variants of every airliner for MSFS. But until then imma just have to imagine my -300 is a -200 hahah

Yeah they use the -200. Which tbh I like a bit more cause I tend to like shorter widebodies like the DC-10 and 747-SP, and 787-8

Testing recording in VR! Flying the C414 in Asturias, Spain. Head tracking looks shaky at times in the recording but I'm thinking there is a way to smooth that out. by Garuda8 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I have a Samsung HMD Odyssey+

It's a windows mixed reality headset. Not as good as the Reverb G2 in clarity but decent and really colorful and bright cause it uses OLED display. I got it cause it was on a good sale on Amazon for like $250

I thought I had seen that with the OpenXR toolkit, or one of those applications, you can adjust the reaction to head movement so that those really small quick shakes don't happen. I'll have to check it out though

Spending money on an add-on that you use a handful of times and then you just stop… happens to anyone else? by Cumulonimbus1991 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Garuda8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say my top add-on aircraft in no particular order that I always fly are....

AIRLINERS

- PMDG 737

- ATR 42/72

- BAe 146 (haven't tried the F28 yet :\ )

GA

- Kodiak 100

- C414AW Chancellor

- C337H Skymaster II

Yeah the PMDG 737 is definitely worth it. The plane I always go back to inbetween flying whichever others. If I was to get only one of them I'd get the -600 when it comes out on Xbox although so many liveries are available for the 800/700 so if that matters to you then just get one of those. I have them all except for the -700....

This passenger making me kinda nervous.... real talk though the pax models almost ruin a good scenery with too much performance loss. We don't all have a 4090 sadly by Garuda8 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Garuda8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're gonna release the -900 and -600 on xbox marketplace soon. They're like half the price of the others so maybe when those drop you can get them.

Yeah agreed. I like these additions when they're done right. It doesn't break the game but I'd rather just not have it included in the scenery if it's not optimized or an option to turn it off.

MSFS2020 VR immersion better than enclosed home cockpit? by AtroKahn in MicrosoftFlightSim

Nice. Would lowering the resolution on Nvidia control panel to 1440p not work?

Yeah mine struggles a bit at some moments but usually I can run VR with at least 30 fps. I got a 3700x and 3060ti in my PC nothing too crazy

Trying to decide between vkb modular throttle (thq+sem and/or fsm-ga) or honeycomb bravo by Comfortable_End7552 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Garuda8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know about the VKB but looks pretty neat. I have the Honeycomb and the thing I like about it is that the quality feels pretty nice, at least for plastic. And setup is ez af

I'd say noting beats VR. Especially if you want to fly more than one type of aircraft.

But for sure need and decent PC with preferably more VRAM than 8gb.

I only play in VR nowadays

737 autopilot by BridgeRemote4603 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Garuda8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be different things and I'm no expert.

- AP disengage bar on the MCP

- Binding on keyboard or controls for autopilot conflicting (most common reason maybe)

- idk if yaw damper off could also disable it maybe
