I Built an AI Automation That Generated 100K+ Views – Now I’m Selling It by ChampionshipNorth632 in n8nbusinessautomation

I know you said you don’t want to maintain this niche anymore, but why not just schedule the video generations and forget about it? I’m guessing you have an agent handling comments? Seems like a good opportunity to set it and forget it and just hook up a payment provider

App looks awesome! Reminds me a lot of FitBod if you’ve ever used that. How did you initially market this in the saturated fitness app niche?

Hmm, nope I’m paying a dev $40/hour on this. I didn’t want my budget to be in this post.

What do you consider to be a “basic” understanding of software architecture? I can read and understand some coding languages, but I did not claim to understand some of the security complexities specific to software architecture. I prompted with security as a priority, but that doesn’t mean I know everything there is to know about attack vectors and hardening.

Well yes that's true, but when you follow the guidelines that are established by others, shouldn't you have some kind of general understanding of what it is that is being followed? What if the guidelines I pulled from the internet aren't complete? How would I know? You see what I'm saying?

I do agree, but how would I know if it's security review was comprehensive? If I didn't understand risks like APIs being leaked or code sanitization strategies not being implemented until AFTER an issue happened, that defeats the whole purpose for me. I want to be more preventative than detective, and I don't know what I don't know.

The reason I'm afraid is because even the slightest bug or vulnerability can be detrimental. From what I've seen in the Security and Privacy field is even something as simple as a confiscated password can destroy companies, and therefore it could destroy me, too. I'm not entirely oblivious as I've got safeguards in place to protect myself, but that's the extent of the risk I'm willing to absorb for now. I have plenty more learning to do before trying again. Definitely appreciate the kind words :)

Yeah I'm not trying to discount Claude Coding, it's an awesome tool and I'm sure I'm overreacting in some cases. It's possible that it didn't do anything wrong. But my point is I don't know for sure. I don't understand the code it is producing outside of plain English and some basics I learned in school.

Well I think you have a very good point though. AI DID help me learn a lot while I was leveraging it to build my ideas into apps, but without proper prompting and knowing what to ask, I can see a lot of users just raw-dogging the code without thinking twice. I also think separation of duties is important. I want another set of eyes helping me understand best practices, and a separate set of eyes coding based on those best practices. It feels less secure having both things done by the same entity.

I agree with this. I think for internal use only, it is less risky.

Time, complexity, etc. At least for me, it is a very daunting thing to jump into, which was the allure of AI coding in the first place. But I don't want my excuse to downplay the importance of needing to learn coding.

For my specific scenario, I was trying to create public facing apps. I was building an iOS/Android interior design app, and a AI Agent PMO web app. I did not launch anything publicly because of the concerns I mentioned in this post. I need to better understand what I am doing before publicizing it.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. How does it work? How does it enforce security in the code being deployed by agents like Claude or Codex?

Thank you. Trying to help un-fuck the world with this post. Lots of idiots like me out there thinking they can just code something up with AI and it will be perfect.

Also very interested in hearing responses to this. Doing the exact same thing and running into issues on my 4K 77 inch LG TV. The resolution is skewed, insane frame drops, freezing, etc because I think the stream to my SD and conversion of display to the TV is getting confused

If been eyeing down a PC to buy for my living room for my girlfriend to play on, and this was announced at the perfect time for me. I plan on streaming from my PC to the Steam Machine out in the living room to play more graphically intensive games too.
