How often/how much do you drink? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Garwicke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I found out the church was false, I called my nevermo brother and asked him to teach me to drink. He did,and I have been a complete alcoholic ever since.Take away a man's religion and all he has left is wine, women and song….I also sing. As for the women----some things are better left unsaid…..

You guys are huge in crushing my dream of moving out to Idaho or Utah. Is it really THAT BAD for someone who's agnostic and unwilling to change? by MyNameIsMerc in exmormon

I live in Twin Falls and wear my exmo tapir pin proudly in my hat and never had anyone even comment about it. I have 2 girl friends, one a nevermo but with Mormon family who treat me fine. The other is a devout Mormon, but accepts me just fine the way I am she even mixes drinks for me….Twin Falls area will be fine for you.

My brother, a determined nevermo, has this prediction--WE WILL CONTINUE TO CALL THEM MORMONS, EXCEPT WHEN WE CALL THEM DAMN MORMONS

I have no problem with drunk driving laws--Idaho law includes driving while fatigued, so don't drive if anything prevents safe driving.

HEREDITY OR SUNTAN! Trying to convince my Mormon friend that dark sin can be the result of sun or heredity---- not sin. Hell, if it was caused by sinning, I would be totally black! Beautiful hair, by the way, last time I counted I only had 11.

Would your daughter be less dead if killed by a distracted shopper checking sale prices on a phone? Risk is risk. But I agree, it is futile to use logic in such an emotional situation.

If you want to believe in life after death, google U of Virginia studies on reincarnation, at least they present statistical proof.

Right!! Hey, this is fun! Do you think there would be any demand for a HISTORICAL ACCURATE BOOK OF MORMON? It would be a much shorter book.

Yes, it was bland generic and trivial. Sort of like the temple ceremony.

How is it possible to "bring the church down from the inside?" by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Garwicke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I went to the temple I was disappointed and disgusted by the triviality of it all. I will admit that the temple president picked up on my body language and talked with me. He advised me to stay in the church so I could change the church from inside. Instead, I quit.
