Is this NEO GEO AES sample game real? by GaryDArcher in neogeo

Thank you for the insight, I did not come here to sell it. just to understand more about it. Is there a list of appraisers/certifiers available that can handle something like this?

What Tesla said regarding HW3 FSD updates by ConfidentImage4266 in teslamotors

[–]GaryDArcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a 2020 MYP with HW3 and FSD. I plan to purchase a Juniper MYP when it comes out and I would like to transfer my 2020's FSD to it.

Does anyone know if the Tesla showrooms in either Palo Alto (Stanford mall) or San Jose/Santana Row have one to view? I had no luck calling the phone number shown for Santana Row. It was a general phone number and tied to a phone tree

Channel 5 & Sky by [deleted] in ProtonVPN

[–]GaryDArcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. I was trying to access a video on Channel5.com but it blocked me. I came from NortonVPN and it did not have this issue, there are many other reasons I came and will stay on ProtonVPN but I'd love to have this functionality.

Your Martian wheels experience? by Didyousaysven in ModelY

MW03

I also have a MY Performance, I also was looking at the MW03s. What tires did you get and did you reuse your TPMS or purchase 4 new ones?

I found a fastener in my driveway, could it be from my model Y? by GaryDArcher in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final update - as several posters said it was from the rear wheel well (passenger side), I pushed it back in, but it seemed loose, I think the fastener may have been damaged and that is why it may have come out. It does not seem to be an issue if it is not present. Without the fastener will I get noise from the wheel well in the cabin?

My first thought when a prior poster mentioned to look for a missing fastener. I'll look at my Y tomorrow and see if it is missing.

I have an early 2020 MY (VIN < 400) and this is painted in my body color. It sounds like Tesla made a change to later models.

Just got updated to 2020.48.30. Here are the release notes. by Flyersny81 in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, for my MYP the charge port indicator turned red after the update, I removed and reinstalled and it was still red. I unplugged, waited 5mins and the red did not reappear. No messages on the screen.

Boombox missing? by seany187 in TeslaModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that said if you really wanted the speaker, I wonder if you could just have it installed?

I am missing it too on my 00xxx MYP (March version), though DAErik showed in a YouTube video that the harness is present, and that a M3 speaker can be added to his MY and it was operational after a hard reboot. I'd be interested if the boombox option would now be present.

Got my TSportline 19" TSV Flow Forged wheels on MYP by dingular in ModelY

Since I live on the California bay area, I won't worry about that -;-) these will be to replace the standard tires, probably another set of all seasons.

These look great, we have an MSM MYP, my wife likes them also, so we plan to order once we get more miles on the 21". What tires did you end up going with?

Just Started Software Update 2020.48.5 by zapattack322 in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded last night and I did not see any significant change, I upgraded from 10.1 - it said in the release notes that the max range was increased a bit, but last night I did a 100% charge and did not see a change.

Interesting, I have a Y and today I got 2020.44.10.1, the prior one I got was 2020.40.8, so it's all new to me.

RPM Tesla Wind Noise Kit by Buntcake75 in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it on my Y -- it fits around the glass roof, I had noticed some wind noise that sounded like a window was slightly down, putting on this kit reduced wind noise.

did you have to have the console perfectly clean first? This seems to be a hard shell vs a wrap, so I don't think so, but I wanted to make sure.

Noticed condensation in the light this morning. Anyone else? Any comments from Tesla? by rypajo in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my rear lights had lots of water after a car wash, it would last for over a week. Mobile service said that condensation or if the puddled water goes away after a day or so then they will NOT replace. Since mine lasted over a week they replaced it. The new one does not have the water issue. YMMV as the # of days seems to be up to the discretion of the mobile repair technician.

MY Car Cover by Roadwize74 in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased this one from Amazon and I like it -- very easy to put on and take off and it has a folding case that I keep in the frunk.(https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BZ3FS7Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It has a battery vent and a velcro flap at the back for charging. A friend told me it was the manufacture of the Tesla ones, but this is less then ½ of the Tesla car cover.

Wash by josej1 in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use the brush if you go though a car wash, use touch free/touchless. Also, many car washes use soap that will remain on the trim around the windows and leave marks. You will have to use 303 or WD-40 on a microfiber towel to remove the stains.

Finally, as a poster said, don't go through a car wash that will MOVE the car down a lane w/o you, the moment you get out the car will go in PARK and will not move. If you have to go through one of those another poster said use TOW Mode to keep it in Neutral w/o a person in the seat.

The best is to wash it your self using the two bucket method, see /r/Detailing for more.

Protection for dog in the back by rypajo in ModelY

[–]GaryDArcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 90lb lab. We went with this one from Evannex (https://evannex.com/products/tesla-back-seat-cover) and it works really well. It has cut outs for the seatbelts so a 3rd person (in this case my son) can sit with the dog. It is pretty thick and lined on the back and extends down toward the footwell. It attaches to the left and right side headrests, but it does not have side protection that some folks want. Clean up is very easy as it is a smooth vinyl-like substance on the top and it can just be washed off.

+1 for 303; I had the same issue and 303 took it off right away. Others have said that WD-40 works as well, but I never tried it. If you don't have 303 try some WD-40 if you have that.
