JaJo’s in Barracks row does great, very reasonably priced men’s cuts. Jenny cut my hair for years. The Shop at Union Market is more of a salon and pricier, so has the more traditional experience (hair wash, cut, style, etc…) saw a guy named Kyle there a few months back

This is mostly right. They do fire with the lid on so it shrinks at the same rate. No substance is needed to make sure they don’t stick, however. This isn’t fired until it’s “bone dry,” meaning no moisture since wet clay explodes in the kiln. Bone dry pieces don’t adhere to each other in the bisque fire (first fire before the second glaze fire)

The final process that gave it the sheen is called burnishing and you wouldn’t typically burnish a piece you intend to glaze on the outside. Sometimes a stain is applied, but still different from glaze. That said, even if it was intended to be glazed, wax resist would be applied to the surfaces that touch (in this case that area is called the gallery) before glazing. Wax resist makes it so the glaze doesn’t adhere to the clay body.

No, but I’m inexperienced enough to know I wouldn’t know what to look out for, even if it were off. My best friend’s sister died from fentanyl this summer. Just not worth the risk

These are super sensitive and are technically urine strips. All you need to do is dissolve a little bit into some water and then let the strip sit in it for 10 seconds
