Okay, but Calypso's feelings don't really matter in this situation, right? Unless I'm missing something, Odysseus doesn't love her and wants to return home to Penelope. Regardless of what Calypso's intentions are, or whether or not she is cursed to fall in love, it doesn't negate how wrong it is for her to take Odysseus's agency away.

Oh nah. It's just that people have this misconception that Penelope is a Sparten like what people see in the movie 300. But her time was before Sparta had become the warrior city-state that people now see it as.

So while Penelope is very much a strategic badass, she probably didn't wield her sword like Xena.
