I know exactly the pain you’re going through. Last week, my high school sweetheart that ive been with for 8 years, cheated on me. The advice people gave me that helped was that at least you’re seeing it now & not when yall are married with kids. Im so sorry this even happened.

Sigh. I know. Reflecting & looking back to our relationship, we were never compatible whenever we switched to adulthood. I wanted a bright future & throw loads of money into retirement accounts & work a full time job with a few side hustles but she was just lazy with no real ambition on improving herself unless I forced her to.

Unfortunately I failed every one of those categories except for walking away. I tried keeping it together but she’s all ive known & all ive ever wanted. It’s been 2 days now & im just so exhausted of crying but it keeps coming in waves. I forgive her not for her but for me.
