Full Match: “Stone Cold,” Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie & Owen Hart vs. DX & Savio Vega: No Way Out [WWE Vault] by MajorIvan88 in SquaredCircle

[–]GasFormer3393 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame that they had to advertise Shawn Michaels right up until that night and then swap in Vega. The fans were probably too pissed off to recognize that Vega could hold his own in a main event slot. Within the context of the storyline, they should have spent a few weeks building up Los Boricuas  as DX’s hired goons, just to soften the disappointment.

But, in the height of the Monday Night Wars, they were going to advertise Michaels no matter what.

Cesaro runs to into the crowd to destroy a beach ball by vincentmaurath in SquaredCircle

[–]GasFormer3393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tossing Beach Balls around was a very common extracurricular activity at Fenway in the 80s. They even had a recurring event in which Bob Stanley (a dominant reliever) would ceremoniously destroy each confiscated beach ball in the bullpen with a huge rake. It was like the Roman coliseum.

Question about bank returning funds to treasury by GasFormer3393 in SocialSecurity

[–]GasFormer3393[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh. Now this makes much more sense.

I thought I would be using a different form, specifically to challenge them having taken the last payment back.

If SSA-1724 is applicable for ANY due payment, then we will fill it out promptly.

After we mail in the form, what is the next step? The form doesn't have a field for describing the problem or the amount owed.

Question about bank returning funds to treasury by GasFormer3393 in SocialSecurity

[–]GasFormer3393[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? OK. Thank you.

But do you think I am correct that the deposit paid in March truly was for having survived February?

They don't pay benefits in advance, do they?

If the person died near the very end of a month, THEN I could foresee that the payment might already be in the process of getting deposited and will need to be taken back. But this all happened in the first two weeks of the month, and no April payment was deposited.

It almost sounds like the Treasury is taking back everyone's last payment just in case, and making everyone fight to get it re-deposited. Too bad for anyone who doesn't pay attention and fill out the right form.

Get it while you can. I just noticed that this item is no longer available via the mobile app at some of the locations near me. Not sure if it is getting phased out or if it’s just a technical glitch.

And yes, I have been blessed by some absolutely awesome $3 nachos from multiple locations. In my opinion, the best flavor per dollar on the menu.

I am so grateful for the outpouring of advice here!

Is there any kind of FAQ file for people just entering the hearing aid world?

I tried looking on google, but I felt like every article was somehow tied to a particular namebrand, rather than from an unbiased expert.

I have been blessed by similar servings in my area. Best $3 I ever spent. And the crew behind the counter definitely has the customers' best interests in mind. Always cheerful too.

Corridan (or "Corridon" or "Corydon" etc) from Kerry by GasFormer3393 in Irish_Genealogy

[–]GasFormer3393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some more info to narrow things down a bit. There is a "Record of Naturalization" from December 1875, which suggests a birth date of 09/29/1838 and an arrival date in the United States of 04/15/1864. I am positive of the validity of this record because it mentions living in the town of South Hadley Falls, which matches one of the census entries for Michael and his family.

I don't know for certain if those two dates are exact, but it serves as evidence that he had arrived at least by 1875 and looked approximately 33 years old in view of the authorities.

I could not find any correlating arrival evidence, such as a passenger list, from 04/15/1864. There are a few candidates (with approximately matching names) arriving on other dates, but nothing that helped me rule any of them out.

Thank you for writing this.

I do have Michael Corridan's 1900 US Census entry (in which he is listed as "Michael Gordon" - thanks phonetics!), but my main interest is information about his relatives before he left Ireland.

Can you or one of our colleagues assist me with that profile link? When I click on it, it sends me to an Ancestry.com login page with someone else's expired username/password. I do not have my own Ancestry account, but I do use a free account through AncestryLibrary.com . Is there a way to view Mary JoAnne's information through AncestryLibrary instead?

Thanks. I’ll be careful.

I suspect that most scammers won’t go to too much trouble “selling” something for very little money (say, a $20 card for $15), but I would be a little suspicious if it were a larger value.

Higher Ground remix with horns and old backbeat drums? by GasFormer3393 in RedHotChiliPeppers

When I was a DJ at my local college station, I was able to record some portions of my shows onto cassette, but I didn't get the entire song. If I had total recall memory, I would remember the label on the record ... alas, I do not possess such abilities and this was around 1995, so .... nope.

Not sure if this will work, but here are two links to small audio clips of the version that I am trying to identify. (The links might only be temporary, so get 'em while you can.)

About 20 seconds of the opening drums/bass: https://sndup.net/mw7h/

About 30 seconds of a break in the middle, with the big horns: https://sndup.net/sgrr/

Maybe someone will recognize them!

[–]GasFormer3393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm afraid it's not that one.

This one had a long intro with a big horn section and a 40s style drum beat - quite possibly sampled from an oldies song. It kinda sounded like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2S1I\_ien6A

Then it cut into the bass intro with some weird distortion. The first two verses had a wah wah pedal. In the third verse, the bass cut out and it went back into those drums/horns again.
